Is it true that no matter what, Mach E will occupy two spots when charging at a supercharger?

My understanding from the etiquette people are using in Europe is that at SCs, cars that have to charge on the left side of the parking spot use the right-most chargers and ones that are on the left, like Teslas, use the left-most. If everyone follows those rules (good luck getting that in the US lol) that should only leave one charger unusable in a full station.

I'm not a long range road tripper but many here are. Looking very much forward to living the Supercharger experience vicariously through their posts ?
