Have the Forscan gurus mapped out the VDM module's Asbuilt yet?

They eventually did for the F150 CCD suspension. And I was able to increase the value for "mass" at each corner in an effort to get the damping curve in Normal mode to increase in the direction that Sport mode felt like. Of course that caused Sport mode to move to in the same direction. (firmer)

Also, Ford has the CCD suspension on the F150 to fault to maximum damping. So if you desire to experience just how much "range" the OEM active shocks have you can simply unplug one and all 4 default to max. (exactly the opposite of the Raptor, which defaults to minimum damping with a fault)

Does anyone have any relative information on the GTPE Magnaride? I'm far happier with the OEM damping curve on the GTPE than I am with the CCD on the Powerboost. But it would be fun messing around a little to see if there's any low hanging fruit.
No, the FORScan gurus have not mapped out the VDM at all. No Asbuilt or anything. Yes I know they did for the F150 as I have been following this for over two years. I have been wanting to tinker with it for sure.

Both Steve (HuntingPudel) and I want a more firm ride in Unbridle drive mode. It is way too soft for us. When I change the drive mode in the Focus RS and GT 500 to track, it firms up and drives like it should. That is what we want.

So my car has been "stuck" with no updates, finally today a GWM was pending. Did that and it became an avalanche of updates. Ended up doing : GWM, APIM, GWM, APIM, GWM, TCU, GWM.

Excellent - sounds like the update spigot is now open for your car.

Actually I suspect it was the release of the 'dependency dam' that happened when the powertrain and other updates got done a few days ago.

I think that's what the problem is for a lot of these cars that seem to have the exact same list of available software (I'm talking about '23 models specifically but it could apply to other MYs).

We've seen before where doing the available powertrain items opened up availability of more updates.

With the exception of the DSP I'm as up-to-date as I can be on Sync and I'm at 1058.

@LeanneL messaged me to say she's at 713 (she may be further now though) but is waiting on a powersupply to do the IPMA/PSCM job. So maybe that's what it takes to unlock future Sync updates...getting the rest of your list knocked out to free up any dependencies. ?‍♂

Yes that was weird. Yesterday around noon (Pacific time) I saw it came out, downloaded it but did not install it as I was busy doing other things. While in FDRS later in the afternoon, it went back to showing 39.6.4 as the latest and 39.6.8 was gone. I did install it last night and all seems to be well. Maybe they pulled it for a few hours? Don't know.

Mine showed the correct update available this morning but after I downloaded and installed it, the login info screen temporarily showed 39.6.4.

If I click the bell icon on the top row now it does show 39.6.8 as the latest version.

But I guess I spoke too soon.......just got a little notification update...I clicked the bell icon on the top row and it now shows the old version info again.

It's entirely possible we'll see another update in a day or two if they're just figuring out this morning that they messed something up. It's happened several times before.

My learning:
- ensure your power supply can do what it needs to do and is functioning properly! I have now ordered 2 x PL2320's due to this issue. Watching your batter drop to 7 volts and knowing you cannot do anything mid flash is terrifying!
<SNIP>
I had this happen with my first FDRS session. The 50A PSU I bought died part of the way into my session (right at the beginning of an IPMA). I was sweating bullets when it dropped below 12V. I scrambled grabbing spare batteries, jumper cables, and every 12V charger I could find. I ended up with one Optima yellow, the Optima red in my T/A, a 12A charger, a 6A charger, and a 4A charger daisy-chained together, still sweating bullets and hoping that the power was filtered well enough through two additional batteries and that 22A in conjunction with the batteries was enough for this update. I ended up with a PL6100 that died on me too, so I had to send that for warranty repair. ??

Just got this new toy for updates..... Will be finishing them off today hopefully. And I drilled the access holes, so connecting will be way easier!
