Weird that others get the cyber orange pic and mine isn't there, maybe because of GT?
It looks like the app is pulling your EA status and showing the button for the Beta even if you didnt launch the TestFlight version.

Well apparently we can talk about it now, I've had it available to me since Day 1, and every time I tried to use it I was appalled at how terrible it is and turned off the beta. I'd give it a look every time they updated something, but most of the time I couldn't even tell what the update was and the features list didn't match what I was seeing. I hope this never sees the light of day.

For those with an Apple Watch with cellular, one big improvement is the AW app. Not only does it look and work better, it can be used without a phone. The previous FordPass you had to still have the phone nearby to use the watch functions even with a cellular AW. Now it works without the phone. PaaK still requires the phone at this time though, it's just the start/lock/unlock buttons to be clear.

Except that it has to enable a pass code to work. no thanks then... useless for me at that point.

I enjoy observing development work.
And since it's been part of my profession to do so for the last 1/4 century, I don't underestimate the amount of effort behind the scenes to accomplish even the most minor detail.

As fortune has it, I just moments ago was given the opportunity to try the beta. Pretty painless, especially since I can opt-in/out at a whim.

It's obvious that reading comprehension isn't as good as it used to be. The email specifically says that it's okay to talk about FP 5, just not to discuss features that are not yet released in the Beta version (exclusive features). FP 5 is released GA now so it can be discussed.

It's a public beta at this point it seems, as others have noted in this thread including a developer, you can see FP 5 from the public app now, without joining the EA program or being a Ford employee.

Yeah, a picture of the car makes sense if I can tap the windows to roll them down or doors to unlock or something that makes it a functional feature. But as it stands it needs to be reduced by 50% at least. I kind of like having some visual, because we have two FP vehicles and having a picture of the MME or truck is about the fastest way of seeing I am on the right one. But it doesn't need to be 2/3rds of my phone screen.

So are we allowed to talk about this beta now or what? Previously these threads were shut down. I already have probably said more than I should, but I haven't seen anyone mention it this time so far. There is definitely a big thing I haven't seen pictured yet, surprisingly.

The email I got said there is a public beta which can be discussed but that we (EAP) would still be getting features not in the public beta and are not to discuss. They gave a specific example in the e-mail of a feature the private would have.

You mean like this? Very happy to see a redesign of this app coming, but I've wondered why they can't just give up and copy Tesla. We really would be better off. I know that will piss a few people off, but it really is just intuitive and makes sense.
