Bought an A2Z Typhoon adapter for $200. Ordered it March 11. Got it March 27th. They're having production supply issues. They got stock Mar 24th, tested them 25th and shipped it UPS overnite from Montreal Canada.

Ford adapter not coming til July. Driving back to Morristown NJ From Venice 1st week of April.
Spent Feb & March in Venice. Nearest high-speed chargers to Venice is 25 miles north at Sarasota University Town Center Mall or 25 miles south at Walmart off I-75 Port Charlotte. Both are Electrify-America and I've used them both and they worked perfectly.
Tesla has superchargers in Venice at I-75/Jacaranda Rd exit at BrewBurgers Pub.
I tried it out at 60%. Worked perferfectly: Plugged in new A2Z adapter & Charging started after only about 30 seconds. 10 minutes later got to 81% , unplugged & Ford Pass showed me $8.74 charged to my Ford Pass registered credit card.
I should mention 600' from the Tesla Superchargers are 2 Jule fast charging stations that haven't worked for past 2 months. I complained so much to their 800 hotline, that they sent parts and engineers to repair them. They fixed them around March 26th and gave me a free charging session and that worked. Must tap your credit card to start the Jule charging.
Tesla charged at 4 miles range added per minute, same as did the Electrify-America. Summary: Tesla station worked perfectly and started charging about 30 seconds after I plugged it in. Also the Ford Sync-Tesla update worked. It was true "plug-&-charge".

Tesla chargers have no computer screens. So I couldn't tell the speed of charging. Just that it worked perfectly and started charging about 30 seconds after I plugged it in. The Ford Sync-Tesla update worked.
I believe you should be able to see the charging speed in FordPass.

The side mount SuperChargers look like a nice arrangement. No trouble getting the cord to reach at that one. I suppose there still is a charger blocked on your right though.

It seems a shame to me that the Ford NACS adapter and the A2Z NACS adapter do not appear to have holes in the latches to lock this $$ adapter to the car, unlike the TeslaTap adapter. I tend to walk about and stretch my legs while fast charging, and this adapter is a pricy little item that can easily "walk away".

I can't recall any posts on this forum reporting a stolen Tesla Tap. Have you heard of it actually happening?

I'd rather someone just take a $200 replaceable adapter than damage my $1500 charge port... Someone who is going to take it is already not interested in the ethics or legality of damaging the car...

I would also want to be able to quickly remove the charger if there is any sort of issue with the connection. I don't want to have to fiddle with a lock while the port is overheating and threatening to catch fire...

It's not a bad question, we're talking about $200+ just sitting on your fender.

Another (far more likely, in my opinion) consideration is an angry tesla driver who backs into the space next to you thinking they can can charge and deciding to unplug you.

It looks like you might be able to take a long zip tie and use it to hold the latch closed. Obviously a zip tie doesn't offer much protection, but neither does the luggage lock on a tesla tap. Both are probably enough to keep someone from trying to unplug you, though.

This is a valid concern.

I would (and do on my TeslaTap) put a combo 4-wheel lock on the car end... this allows unplugging on the "hot" end while protecting my adapter from getting fenced on Ebay etc.

I also ordered March 11. Just checked my order and it says "getting ready to ship" - I think that has been updated, so hopefully I'll get the shipping notification shortly. Really want to try this out (I have a Ford Adapter ordered with a May ship date).

Call A2Z's 800 number. They're very upfront about discussing your order's progress.

Fortunately, no. When charging at the side mount Superchargers you don't block anyone else.

I'm glad I don't live where you guys live. Have people truly become this bad in your areas?
