https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ordering-new-tesla-adaptor.34680/post-774645Hey, I ordered Tesla adapter a while ago (when it was first announced) thru the app, but no signs of it so far .
How do I check the status?
Makes me scratch my head. Third party manufacturer is already shipping units while OEM manufacturer still coming soon …You can order the A2Z adapter as it is shipping now.
We reviewed the A2Z a few weeks ago and it is an option for people that don't want to wait. We also just got the Lectron adapter to do a review and we hope to have that done by tomorrow.,You can order the A2Z adapter as it is shipping now.
This is awesome Patrick (and clever way to drive traffic too). Kudos! You can use this form to connect you to the right page to check your order status:

Maybe I was foolish for thinking along those same lines. I had assumed that bc Tesla and it's early partners knew the opening would happen in the spring, Tesla would have worked to ensure that several thousand adapters were available to ship on day one. And then they would switch to increasing the production run each month or week as more automakers get onboarded.Makes me scratch my head. My guess is that it’s Ford’s responsibility to source the adapters. Tesla gives them the specs like the other aftermarket solutions.Maybe I was foolish for thinking along those same lines. Even if that it the case, and I don't know if it is, I would still find it strange that they wouldn't have their manufacturer produce several thousand that would be ready to ship on day 1. It seems like a reasonable logistics thing to do. I would have the same question for Rivian and GM if it was the case that the automakers are responsible for finding a manufacturer. My guess is that it’s Ford’s responsibility to source the adapters. Ooooooh.....that's seems like a lifetime away.Just checked on the status of my adapter and it's showing September as the ETA. I may look into the A2Z to use for the meanwhile.
Right, and whether it’s Ford or Tesla making the adapter, they’ve both had the specs and knew what was coming at least as long as A2Z and Lectron, yet they’ve not shipped any, unless you’re, … nevermind. They’re free! They’re free!My guess is that it’s Ford’s responsibility to source the adapters. Tesla gives them the specs like the other aftermarket solutions.
