I would appreciate a check on my car. New 2023 but built a year ago so I think it is way behind on updates. I have received 2 OTA updates so far. If it is far behind should I just take it to the dealer for them to update manually?
Thanks. I am impressed by this community and the willingness to help.

You recently started getting OTAs (the 11th and 12th). So I would just continue to drive the car daily until you are caught up.

Here's the list of available updates in FDRS:

Does it happen to show the last time it tried to do an OTA update? I've tried getting the 12V up and and I've seen some large 12V drops overnight lately, but never any new updates showing up.

@Mike G Can I ask for you help here again? My 2021 job 1 is running an old sync version and has never gotten an OTA. Updates have only ever been pushed by the dealer. They are now telling me that the APIM, TCU, GWM are all up-to-date so there’s nothing more to do. Despite it showing a bunch of DTCs and other pending updates. Is there something I can point them to? A module update that may be the bottleneck here? Thanks in advance.

While they are not lying to you that the GWM/TCU/APIM show up to date now. Once you start updating some of these modules other updates may pop up due to software dependency. Such as the ABS/PCM/BCM/SOBDMC

You have so many vehicle health data reports that the system is aggregating them. In order to display them you have to select one day at a time. Lots of IPMA related events, "collision mitigation by braking" errors, etc.

And the version of the gateway you have, regardless of whether they think it's up to date or not, is "-LKB" which is very old.

It looks like the last time they connected using FDRS was the 4th of April.

Here's the list of available updates, which includes things like the door modules, which were updated for most people last year.

And the one and only OTA your car was offered...got cancelled back in September:

So I think you need to open a case with Ford (call the BEV team) and ask them to intervene with your servicing dealer to get you sorted out. Because I would bet that one or more of those updates in your list is causing a dependency issue that's keeping anything else from showing up to progress you forward.

October 14th and 23rd you car was sent an APIM update and both times it failed. Nothing has been sent since.

That alone should be enough to get you in for a diagnostic check...and I'm betting if somebody updated that APIM things might start moving again.

Would someone be willing to look up my VIN to see if I've been missing any updates? I have a 2022 Mach-E GT and I suspect I may not be getting any updates after I took the car in to get some recalls done last month. I believe the last update I received was around mid February.

The last time any programming was done on your car it was the powertrain updates that were done on the 23rd of February. (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC)

Since that time a whole new crop of powertrain updates have been released anyhow. If it were me I'd be updating that gateway module to ensure that it's not the reason (dependency) that other things aren't showing up as OTAs for you.

Turn Wi-Fi on and connect your truck to your home Wi-Fi for at least one of these pending updates.

Turn the truck on and let it run with the shutdown timer turned off. Or...go drive the truck and then be prepared to hit the "Update Now" button when you park so that the update will process when you are shopping, or at work, etc.

Your truck has triggers that are waiting for you to drive it.

Triggers do expire.. so drive the truck.

Thank you very much, the truck does sit a lot.

Can I just drive it around the block or do I need to drive it for a minimum amount of time?

Thank you again for all the information that you guys provide.

Well it usually takes around 15-20 minutes to fully recharge the 12V battery after an overnight sit. So if you just went out and turned it on, disable the shutdown timer, and like I said, connect it to your home Wi-Fi just once to get that little gateway update out of the way, and then locked the truck and went back in the house for a half hour or so at least one of those updates should process during that time, Go back out, check to see if anything downloaded and if it did and you're offered the option to "Update Now" do it. Rinse and repeat until you're caught up.

And...I've never seen anybody with three pending triggers for OTAs before...that's impressive. At least your truck is trying ?

Wait, this isn't a Lightning is it. My bad....unless you have a shutdown timer setting in your Vehicle drawer in Sync you'll have to drive it around a bit. I can't remember if ICE F-150s have a shutdown timer or not.
