Your order number is 3630 and, outside of the few 8000 mishaps, they’ve only shipped the first 1000 or so orders. You’re still 2600 away. Any other company could ship 2600 widgets by breakfast tomorrow morning, but given the speed Ford is shipping these things, you probably are looking at May.

While your comment is tongue in cheek, the reality is that Ford hired an outside logistics firm to do the shipping. The mistake is almost assuredly on that end. The amount of angst over a small number of adapters shipping out of order is over the top. No one has had real damages from a few folks else getting theirs early.

And it's not Ford we're waiting on it doesn't seem as much as it is Tesla that's making them. At least Ford actually stuck their neck out and made this a possibility and Ford is first in line. And free to us...wow!

They’d go to the wrong car. Early. And the contents of the update would be missing. But you’d get a nice box, I mean set of patch notes, with it.

I left my vehicle for about 20 minutes ea during 6 charges amd no one messed with it. Small sample, once Superchargers are full may be a different experience. Most Tesla people were curious and not aware of the influx of vehicles coming.

The issue is not merely stopping your fast charge, it's the fact that the CHARGE ADAPTER is worth money and necessary to use Tesla SC.

I commonly leave mine charging unattended when I charge at Tesla SC (unlike all the Tesla drivers who sit in their cars).

As our Fords will take up 2 spaces for 1 charger, I can see an irate Tesla driver stopping my charge, disconnecting the NACS, and taking or throwing away the adapter out of spite.

ugh. I ordered mine soon after seeing that ordering was available, but I can't find my e-mail confirmation, and can't find any status on ford's website in my account.
When I click on the link to order one now, it takes me to connected services, but nothing in there about an adapter.

I finally tested out my adapter today.. plug and charge did not work .. do I need to have a payment method set up in the Tesla app for p&c to work ??
I was able to set up payment in Tesla app and initiate the charge from the app .. would be nice to have p&c work

You didn’t do anything. Ford’s shipping contractor screwed up and sent some out of order. My order number is a couple hundred before yours and it’s still “in production.” Just wait. It will ship. ??

We do not know Tesla’s production rate, or how many of those units are being allocated to Ford. There are other EV makers Tesla has to allocate for as well.

If you have the Blue Oval Charge Network set up with a valid payment method AND Plug and Charge enabled, then it should work seamlessly.

That was a busy day. Same day order placed and I'm 8463. More than 5000 ordered that day alone. Hoping May is correct.

Apparently there were more than 7000 orders on the 29th. I ordered first thing in the morning and the confirmation arrived at 6:18 AM.

I have reserved two adapters (one for our Lightning) in the high 200s and I've only received one. Both show as still in production. I assume not *all* of the first 1000 or so orders have shipped then?

Ford is doing a great thing for Mach e travel with the Tesla charging deal. I don't have any long distance travel planned but the anticipation is tough. And yes I will at least test it the day it arrives.
