I installed my ChargePoint Home Flex a week or so ago and was using 14-50 plug w/50A breaker. Unit set itself to 40A max as expected. Today I ran 6AWG wire and replaced breaker w/60A. How do I tell ChargePoint it is hardwired now so I can utilize 48A? Can't find it in app settings anywhere...

You will have to call customer service and have them change the setting for you. They will verify some things first.

In the app, go to Home --> settings --> remove from account. Then, set it up again as if it was a new installation. In the setup, it will ask you for breaker amperage. The instructions in post 2 will only allow you to go to 48 amps after you set the breaker amperage to 60 amps.

Mach-Lee's solution would probably work too, but easier to dyi.

That will only work to go lower than the limit set by the initial breaker selection, not higher. The OP will either have to call ChargePoint to have it changed or set up the charger as new again.

I think you need to delete you account. Then open a new account it will ask you what amp cb you are using. Proceed from there. You can the go to the home page and select you charging amp.

You are right. The max amp will be 48 and no higher ever.

My circuit breaker and plug get warm at 40 amps. I set my amp draw to 24 and everything stays cool. Takes a little longer to charge but I’m in no rush.
