2022 Mache premium long range, 16000km. Experiencing something really dangerous, while using blue cruise the car speeds up to 30km over the posted speed limit whenever there is a change in speed limit on the highway, the set speed limit on the dashboard also changes to 30km above what was set By me. I have speed recognition turned on and the tolerance is set to 10km over the limit. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the solution.

Ford team, please look into this and advise.

thanks

It looks at signs AND a database. If the database is wrong, then, it will react incorrectly. And then 10km more.

This.

When it’s such an easy fix, a very simple 5 step procedure.

1. Turn off speed sign recognition
2. Count to 5 (gives time for the server to reconnect)
3. Turn on speed sign recognition
4. Set the tolerance to 5 mph
5. Turn off speed sign recognition

Bam, no more unintentional acceleration or deceleration. Solved.

Change your adaptive cruise control tolerance setting. Check it again.

thanks. I will make the adjustment and try it next time when I am on the stretch of the highway with changing speed limits.

You may not be able to access that menu while driving, only while the car is stopped...for safety...

Tell me this is sarcasm? This is a terribly designed "feature." Completely unintuitive to the driver. As new drivers join the Mach-E ranks it will continue to get questioned until or unless Ford changes the behavior of this feature or at least the UX.

Please change the title to reflect that the danger was user imposed.

Hope you’re not paying Ford for the Blue Cruise subscription for that feature!!!

This should really be some sort of sticky at this point. Perhaps we should make a pinned thread. "Car scare the hell out of you? Read this"
Tolerance should also be renamed to "Risky Engagement Level"

This may not work for the OP. He may not have “mph” ???

It is not sarcasm. The owner of the vehicle is responsible for sitting and going through all the settings on the screen to UNDERSTAND what each one does. If they don't understand them, then turn them off, or park the car and call the dealership. Or go back to the dealership and make them explain them.

People have to take some responsibility.
