Could you look up VIN: 3FMTK3R72MMA35730?

2021 Mach-E Premium

Still having a good amount of software & technical issues after recall repair. FordPass is somehow contradicting the service department.

Really appreciate it!

I would tell them the facts. That BlueCruise doesn't work.

Some techs are reading in their FMC dealer forums how to fix this.

But it generally boils down to updating all the modules that would have anything to do with BlueCruise.

Meaning, start with that APIM that is there, and then if a GWM (gateway) pops up after that then do that, and then check for another gateway, or a TCU, or another APIM and do all of those before moving on to the cruise control specific items like the CMR, IPC, IPMA, and PSCM.

The "Hands-Free Driving Available.." got changed to a map version number a couple of APIM updates ago. So the one on your MME is the new format and is correct.
https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-had-no-ota-updates-at-all-suggestions.35232/

VIN = 3FMTK4SX3PMA60365

Thanks to rugedraw for help with this issue already ... figured I should post this in this thread (where it probably belonged in the first place) ... a link to earlier discussions is provided above.

Quick summary ... 2023 GTPE Job 1 ... leased and picked up from California dealer 10 days ago, driven back to Florida ... BlueCruise non-functional in car the whole drive back to Florida (despite the 3-year BlueCruise subscription being activated at the dealership and showing as Active in my FordPass Connected Services, and car settings being correct) ... many fault codes showing for this car ... and OTA updates seem to not have happened, for the most part, and do not seem to be pending?

1. I have a dealer appointment scheduled for next Monday? Do you think the severity of this issue warrants a trip to the dealer? I have a feeling it does.

2. Seeing as this is a brand new car, I have no plan nor desire to pay for anything related to getting this new car "up to snuff", but the problem is that the selling dealership is 2,500 miles away, and I have no relationship/goodwill with any local Ford dealers. Any tips on what I should say, how I should approach it, what issues I should point out to the service department to ensure that this fix gets covered as a warranty repair. I would think the fact that the $2,100-valued 3-year BlueCruise subscription is completely non-functional should be reason enough, but I would welcome some tips.
A bit of an update here ... I went out to the car (which was turned On) this afternoon, and I noticed a mesaage that said "A software update is downloading".

That's the good news. But the (possible) bad news is that 7 hours later, it's still showing the same message.

Couple of questions ...

1. Is it possible that the updates could still be downloading, 7 hours later, or is it more likely that it's hung-up and not actually working?

2. The "A software update is downloading" message appeared in the car about 30 minutes after I spoke on the phone to the salesman at the selling dealer, who said he was going to talk to their EV Technician. Is it possible that their EV Tech could have initiated this software update from their end, 2,500 miles away from here, or is it just a coincidence? This is the first/only software updating message that I have seen in the 5 days that I have been paying close attention to the car.

1.) the message can still be there even if the actual download has already happened. It usually doesn't update to something else until you shut the car off and turn it back on later...and will then likely say you've just been updated.

2.) Techs have no ability to force a download from their end. Only Ford's BlueNet can do that. It is in control of everything.

Edit: It does now say that you successfully got the APIM update (as of yesterday at 2108 hrs)

Here's the list of available updates; includes a new APIM (Sync) update:

Not sure what your comments related to vis-a-vis ongoing technical issues. The tech updated the powertrain modules (only) IAW the TSB, but didn't touch anything else.

Thanks, that is exactly what happened ... after I turned the car off and on again, it gave me a notification that the car had been updated.

The two things that I noticed that are different:

1. Sync 4 has been updated to Revision 713 from Revision 640.
2. I think Power-Up Version 4.2.2.2 was finally installed correctly (I think they attempted to install it a while back, but I don't think it was successful).

Couple of questions:

1. Considering they did an OTA update yesterday, what is the soonest that they would attempt another OTA update? Do they ever do it a few hours later or next day, or will it be a week or more?
2. Seeing as they did that APIM update, is it worth taking the car out for a drive on the Interstate to see if that fixed BlueCruise, or do you think it will need several updates to get BlueCruise working?

1. Some people have reported back to back updates in one day. I’ve never been so lucky.
2. I’m not sure how an APIM update would fix BlueCruise, but give it a try.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I am looking for help to determine if my 21 GT has a HVBJB replacement before I bought it. I bought it used in July 23 at 16K miles and have now replaced the HVBJB twice. At 24K in February and at 26K just now in April (with BECM this time).

Ford had a generic mention of "electrical" service at 15K in October 22. I'm in Minnesota and I think if I pursue any lemon law action, I'd have verify the problem began before I bought it based on age and milage. Carfax didn't show anything about buyback or major electrical problems.

I can't seem to get the prior history from my dealer. I have a ticket open with Ford, but would to learn details of the car's service history be before I bought it. If someone is willing to PM me and look up my VIN, it would be greatly appreciated.
