Interesting...I am once again having issues and it says right now that the FDSP and login server "Fails" the diagnostic;

Update...I just now got in using the old "Forgot Password" link trick.

Doesn't let me in after repeatedly hitting Sign In...then I hit the Forgot Password link which takes me to a HTTP 400 error page....and then I hit the link to return to the previous page and ...it logs me in.

This is the same nonsense that was going on about two months ago. And then suddenly stopped for some reason...and now it's back.

Update on the 1PD / Drive Mode corrective update: now after applying it thru FDRS three days ago, my Drive Mode is "corrected, mostly".

Now, the car continues to always default back to ENGAGE when it is started. However, while it is driven the car stays in the selected drive mode, for the most part.

Before, it would revert to ENGAGE every 10 minutes or more often.

I cannot speak to the 1PD function as I never use it.

Hey guys, I have half a day left on my FDRS license and I am trying to complete an RFA software update. It seems shortly after the process starts it shutting down or restarting prematurely. I say that because when I am advised to turn off the ignition by FDRS and go to do so, the speedometer panel is black while the infotainment screen is still on. When I press the start button to turn off the ignition the infotainment screen is still active and does not shut down. I am then prompted with a communication lost and failure message by FDRS. Any ideas or advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

First of all reboot the laptop.
Most of the time that a process hangs you will get a timeout after a while.
Did you try to reset the sync4a with the buttons on the steeringwheel ?

The Sync screen will likely remain on for a few seconds..or longer, after turning the start button Off becasue that's what the car does normally...

FDRS sends a message to modules on the network to interrupt communication when it's trying to update a given module. This would likely result in the IPC going black even though the Sync screen hasn't gone to sleep yet.

I recommend you go back to the tab for viewing the CMDTCS and even though all the modules may be indicating a "green" status...clear and restest all modules with the Key on, Engine Off (Accy mode) anyway just to make sure you're starting with a green board and no DTCs before you attempt to program something.

What's the advice on if FDRS and FORScan can be installed on the same laptop. Is there any conflicts or do they play well with each other?

Thank you all. I did reset the laptop as well as reset&retest to ensure the module was still good. Arjan, no I did not try and reset the sync via the steering wheel buttons. Shoudl I do that when it as me to turn off the ignition, after getting the error message or when?

Mike G, the door is open so actually as soon as I turn the ignition off both screens shutdown.

If i remember correctly the RFA took me quite a long time today. Are you sure the 12 volt battery is ok ? Resetting the sync4a is fine when you are not flashing.

I had in the past some issues with FDRS crashing and the car still in " flashmode" but it eventually had a timeout. Maybe it is better to leave it for 15 minutes or something and try again.

Battery is fine have an 55A AC to DC inverter connected, FDRS shows battery has never gotten lower that 13.7. I moved to other updates when I ran into the issue so its been a couple of hours. I will disconnect soon and drive it to the store and try again when I return.

Hey guys, after performing several updates, now when driving, If someone pulls up too close to me or vice a versa there is an annoying tone with a camera pop up? How do I turn that off? Can't find it in settings.
