What is it that I see... a centered speedometer?

Power Meter - see this thread: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-enable-power-meter-on-non-gt-mach-e.18783What I liked about what he was saying at the end if you’ve already got one, unless you really want to get that new model it’s really worth keeping your 23 or older. I’m not sure if he was referring to something below 2023 as well.
I have a question while he was driving in the very beginning of the video or it could’ve been towards the middle that area on the dash in the lower left-hand corner with the lightning bolt where it shows regeneration does that blue area he was talking about?
I absolutely agree with Kyle on virtually every point he made in thus video from the good to the bad. I also agree that allot of folks, himself included have given Ford a bit of a pass up until now. Mostly because they see Ford made a real concerted effort at their first "true" EV. But the time for that has come and gone, competition out there is pretty fierce, and there are still to many little things that are still left on the table that could have easily been improved.
I watch Kyle's reviews pretty religiously and love his tempered, good natured, but still balanced approach to reviews- especially this one. He puts a lot of good perspective on the improvements and misses, but doesn't dwell on them and allows for the car in its present state to speak for itself.
I ended up with a 23.5 (bought literally a week before the 24's hit), but I'm still happy with the deal I negotiated and the overall performance of the car. We traded in a '19 Jaguar I-Pace for the MME, making this the third time we rejected a Model Y (we also have a 23 Bolt that we love). I feel like this review echoes many of the things we kept in mind as we were shopping for our third EV.
Software needs improvements (he likes to site Tesla, Rivian, Lucid), charging speeds should be where the class leaders are (Hyundai), why is there start button (should be able to start without a button like GM or Tesla). Can someone post a summary, I don't have an hour-plus to watch Kyle drone on and on.
How much would you pay for a swap-out for a higher performance processor? I would expect For could have designed in a swappable processor socket knowing that 3-5 years a new processor would be available that would (roughly) double performance. It would refresh the Sync experience. I'd probably pay up to $1000 without thinking too hard. After that, I'd have to think on it a bit. At $2500, I'd need permission from senior management. It would be an easy way for Ford to raise customer satisfaction and make some easy money.Where I really am disappointed is that Ford still hasn’t decided that it’s best to put a faster processor in the car so that Sync loads and runs much faster and smoother. I think processor and engineering decisions such as having the charging speeds displayed in the vehicle are related to Ford’s cost saving efforts and a willingness to go with good enough and not best in class.
Ford gave Chinese Mach-E customers a FREE processor upgrade because it was too laggy and slow for them. How much would you pay for a swap-out for a higher performance processor? Agree.I like a "Start" button. Eruption Green looks awesome!
I think what your negating here is that the Chinese market is pretty fierce, there is way nore product offerings in China to chose from than there are in the North American markets, and despite what many are conditioned to believe about Chinese manufacturing, the built quality is actually really good, the price is much cheaper, and the features offered are incredible. So they definitely could not enter that market with a clunky lagging processor, and actually be serious about selling their cars.Ford gave Chinese Mach-E customers a FREE processor upgrade because it was too laggy and slow for them.
Apparently they care more about the 5 Chinese customers that bought a Mach-E than the tens of thousands of American and European customers.
Surly we must be seeing things. What is it that I see... a centered speedometer?
I test drove the VW iD4, before the Mach E. It was during COVID, so the sales person was not with me. I had to Google how to "Start" it. If that wasn't bad enough, I had to Google how to put into "Park". Never thought of looking for a small button hidden at the end of the R/H stalk. The Mach E just fit me better.Agree.
I think the folks who don't want start buttons are the same folks who view cars as appliances.
In that vein, I don't really think of him as a car guy, more of a tech nerd. He goes way into the weeds on specs. At the same time, he doesn't seem like he really knows a lot about cars - his towing videos are cringe-worthy:
