I turned them on shortly after acquiring the vehicle. There was some void that I was dealing with that the sound filled. I was kind of glad the sound was so subtle and didn't dominate the aural environment.

I just neeeeed it now for some reason. ???

Third response option seems argumentative and non-directive.
I hope for the day when everyone has an EV or Hybrid vehicle so I don't hear loud exhaust sounds. Truly discourteous and insulting that people think others should hear loud noises they want their cars to make.

I used the sound at first, but then I came to like the normal acceleration sounds more. To me, it sounds a little bit like a jet engine whine.

As much as I enjoy a quiet ride in my Powerboost and Mach-E, I still quite enjoy the music of a V8 and even the Porsche Flat6.

They can be tastefully loud, rather than obnoxious, and I won't be the least irritated.

I like the sound.

A little story about it: When I first got my MME, I naturally took family for rides. My sister lives near a police station. I was goosing the Mach and she freaked out a bit and said that I was going to get a ticket for goosing it near the station.

Later we were talking and I said that the rumbling of the engine was just fake noise inside the cabin. She was amazed and had not put 2&2 together that it was an EV with no engine noise…

we’re talking about a 69 year old woman.

I basically can’t hear them except on unbridled, and even then find them much too quiet.

I think it would be a fun option to play with from time to time but it desperately needs a volume slider.

Nope. I've had it off from day one. At lower speed I can hear the real whine of the EV motor. That's good enough for me. Unless I'm driving a manual transmission with a beautiful sounding / high revving engine, silent speed is the way to go.

I tried it. Only did not hear anything. Maybe I wasn't playing my radio load enough. I do not miss having sound. I live on a busy street so I hear enough vroom, vroom sounds as it is.

I do, sometimes, it really depends on my mood. Recently J have gone without, but sometimes it’s fun.
