True, but Ford made the promise. A2Z is making them, Ford can make good on the promise and get them from another vendor.

The EV charging infrastructure fight in North America was Electrify America's to lose. They did so and in spectacular fashion. Only Stelantis has failed to reach an agreement with Tesla to allow access to the SuperCharger network.

There’s gonna be a lot of MBA theses written about this.

thing about that is, whether we like it or not literally millions of teslas on the road, the largest network for charging in the US is Tesla. That the other manufacturers didn't go with the Tesla plug design back then was a mistake, tho perhaps they didn't have a choice. I mean three years later, the mach e charging plug is being phased out.

FYI, my adapter #1717 original may date pushed to june. I don't actually use public charging so it's not really an issue. but it'll be nice to have the adapter just in case.

We need to remember why Tesla opened their chargers to others. Elon was always against it but the US Gov. pushed them. and at the time Elon did not have control. Firing the team slows it down for further review. He has shown to be a bit vindictive at times like the Twitter fiasco. Time will tell.

Every car manufacturer that has adopted NACS except Stellantis has a contract with Tesla to allow access. Contracts are easy to break but they’re not free to break. There would be serious consequences that will not be pocket change or easily blown off as a temporary aberration.

When I ordered mine today, the French-Canadian dude who took my call said that orders are shipping this Friday via UPS Ground.

Expedited shipping is $15 extra via UPS overnight. Seems worth it considering shipping was already included and there’s apparently no sales taxes for Canada origin shipments.

Generally we don’t have to pay import duty until you are ordering more than $750 worth of stuff.

Sales tax (or use tax)…technically, you owe it to your state. I’m sure people line up to self report that all the time.

Start buying expensive enough stuff though, state will track you down.
