It failed for the same reason it seems to have failed for a few people recently. Hash mismatch. I am not sure what causes it or what it exactly means, but the issue is on Frod's side and not your car.

I received Power-Up 6.14 at the end of March and some of the other miscellaneous Priority Updates since (FTDI-FX, 6CH-AUD) but BLM-PE did not complete three weeks ago. I have driven plenty in the interim. Guess I have to wait for Ford servers to offer it up again, but wondered if there's any indication as to why BLM-PE failed.

Pulled the trigger on getting a mongoose cable. Will need to get a good PS as well and a pc laptop.
Question: Do you need an active paid fdrs license in order to even see / look at the updates avail or only to apply them?

You would need an active license if you want to check yourself. If you want to know what updates you can apply before purchasing a license just post your vin here or DM me.

I have a day left in my license and can provide the info when I am done with my last couple of updates unless someone else gets to you first.

I don't have a good explanation as why this update is not moving along for you. Manifest was verified, but for whatever reason, you car has not downloaded any of the files needed for the update since the files were verified on 6/7. It is just hanging in limbo. This OTA trigger is good for 30 days, so it will expire on 7/6 if nothing happens between now and then.

When I had the recall done in May, one of the items that was supposed to be addressed is the inability to turn on the Wireless App Projector. They could not fix it. I was told Ford was aware of the issue and an OTA update would be coming. I spoke with Ford again last week and they said to take it to a different dealer, as there is no OTA update for this issue. They confirmed it was not working (which means no wireless Android Auto or Apple Car Play). The different dealer fixed it this time. I noticed several other changes as well, like the button shapes. I can't recall what number OTA update that was, but I know I was behind on them. This is what was stated on the invoice:

Performed FDRS self tests - no related DTC's. Performed pinpoint test V, located in WSM section 415-00. Performed APIM guided routine. Apple Car Ply operating normal after performing reset. Note: reference SSM 52574 - Ford currently developing solutions to Sync concerns.

If someone has the time, could you please run my VIN?

Well, they didn't update anything. All they did was follow a few guided routines in FDRS for the infotainment system and connectivity and that seems to be what fixed the wireless app projection.
