I'm a full-time RV'r and have a Powerboost and a GTPE.

It is kind of funny that my truck can provide 7.2KW of AC power elegantly using the HVB, which is only 1.5 KWH.

But my Mach-E has an HVB 60 times that size and can't run a coffee pot. ??
That’s a bit misleading. Since the Powerboost will use gas as required to run the ProPower, 10 gallons in the tank is about 320 kwh of stored energy.

but it CAN with a <$300 inverter jumpered to your 12v (which is pulling from the HVB). I think that for less than $500 in 'optional' equipment, that's pretty damn good.

I assume that powers a hamster-sized coffee pot?

on a serious note, a number of members are using a direct-connect to the battery to run a bigger inverter. The DC-DC charger is good for 70A, if memory serves. You are outside the realm of a manufacturer-supported solution with this. I would instead invest in a UPS sized to my risk-tolerance.
dc-dc supports 150a at 12v nominal ...1800watts

If you really want to go there find the thread where a forum member has instructions to tap into the LVB. Then start your car and you are good for quite some time. Can’t remember what the power limit was though. Certainly not set up to power your house in any event. Maybe in the future though. I have a whole-house generator and would rather count on that.
background loads for my house bounce around 200-300 watts.
I can (and have) run my house for hours powered by my MME.

If my SR HV is full (60kWhr), I could power my house a solid week with no sun or grid.

You do realize that the ICE doesn't run full time in the Powerboost when in generator mode. Depending on the load I have on the truck, I can usually get 10-15 minutes ICE/off, and then 1-2 minutes ICE/on.
So I don't think I was being misleading at all.

Yes I do.
You stated you have 1.5 kWh of capacity to run the inverter. That’s just plain false.

I do in fact have a 1.5 KWH HVB powering the 240V inverter.

My original post made a point in humor. Forums are so dang serious. ?

My Powerboost can power my RV with a 1.5KW HVB. Fact. Plain and simple.
In fact it can power a 240V welder with that 1.5KW battery.
Of course it can't do it for very long before needing to be recharged.

My Mach-E with a huge HVB, by comparison, doesn't even provide an outlet for alternating current.

That's the point I am making, and I am 99% sure everyone got the point the first time.

the 12v ports are 20a max (200watts at 12v)... so, not much.

however, if you connect a small but decent inverter to the 12v connection points, you can extract up to 2000watts at 120vAC and run plenty of critical stuff like your refrigerator, laptop, modem, lights, etc.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...120vac-power-from-lvb-connection-points.7317/
I've done that while keeping the car running so I don't kill the 12v battery but I also experienced
the 12v ports start to get pretty warm/hot when they are close to their max capacity for too long.

MME really needs to have at least a 10 amp 110 volt capability. It wasn't a deal breaker, but close. At this point I would pay a thou if Ford came up with an approved after market mod.
