So I'm planning some trips, and I'm just discovering that Tesla Superchargers don't show in the in-app Nav. The updates screen shows that I have all updates applied, the latest one I got was EGC-24.2.4.9 . This is a 2023 model, driven off the lot about 2 weeks ago. I don't care about plug and charge, but do care about preconditioning.

I've seen some older threads where there was a filter turned on to exclude chargers that need an adapter, but I don't see this setting so I think it's been removed.

Is there a setting I'm missing? An update I'm missing? Does this mean I can't plan on using a Tesla charger?

No vehicle shows Tesla Superchargers in the in-vehicle navigation.

You can use Public Charging to find them. Or, plan your trip with ABRP and check chargers in PlugShare.

Also....
You can still trick the car into preconditioning itself on the way to a Tesla SuperCharger.
Before clicking the green "Go" button on the in-car Nav, choose to search "Nearby chargers" or something like that. Pick an EA or anything the car thinks is a DCFC charger. It will route you to the wrong destination, but you'll be preconditioning. Some sites have EA and Telsa both onsite, so this works seamlessly in those cases.

This is exactly why I really, really demand having android auto (or similarly apple carplay but I'm in android ecosystem).

ABRP and Google have already implemented the tesla chargers and have nav in console in our car. With AA I get them right smack dab on the console like I want 'em.

We just need Precondition to not be tied to Ford Nav, and we need charge state to be reflected up to the android auto apps (the benefit of apple carplay).

Cmon, Ford / Google!

Actually, some Tesla Superchargers do show up in my NAV... just very few compared to their actual number out there. For now anyway...

I’m not sure why the navigation database updates have been delayed so much. Usually they are supposed to come every few months.

Well, Ford could tell us why.

One other suggestion: before you go on your trip you might want to download the Tesla app and register an account with your credit card information. I don’t trust the Ford Plug and Charge to work properly with Tesla chargers.

p.s. This assumes you have the adapter to be able to charge at Tesla chargers…….

So much for the nav subscription paid renewal (I skipped it). These update intervals remind me of the old Sync 3. Wait a couple of years and then buy another 1-yr to get updated, just like the old DVDs Ford/Lincoln used to ship.

As others mentioned, some stations are visible but you might have better luck with different names. For example; if I write "Tesla" there is only 1 station in Sweden that turns up, if I write "supercharger" I get about 3 spread from Denmark to Sweden, BUT, if I write "Supercharge" (note the missing "r") it returns 8 stations. While it still is about 0.001% of the actual stations available, it might be enough for you to find your closest ones. If not, use ABRP to find the station, write the adress into the NAV, navigate to it and chose closeby chargers. Then you will likely find something closeby which will trigger the precondition in-time for your Tesla session. I drove about 4000 km this way this easter, worked like charm :)

Any MME owners in CT use the Tesla Superchargers located in the I-95 rest areas? The blue oval map doesn’t show them.

You have to use the Tesla app to see if they are open to non Tesla charging. The I-95 rest stop by me (in Mass) is not shown in the Tesla app for MachE and did not work when I stopped there.
