Hello, I am having a weird issue where it seems that the car has no connectivity (although it say it has). When I go to the "Software Updates" screen, most of the time it fails to load but when it does it displays this message saying that it is not responding.
I am taking it to the dealer on Saturday but could someone help me getting a little more information to figure out what's going on?

Thanks in advance!

No secret menu that I'm aware of. But they do take a while to download sometimes depending on the size.

Still pending by the look of it:

@Mike G what does it mean for the expiration date? At this time I still have not seen any updates come through. I checked the 12v battery and it was 98% which should be high enough.

Yes, I believe so. I’ll confirm that in the morning.
@IcemanCS

The IPMA update in your list would result in your rev updating to "-BAE" which is the BC 1.3 edition.

Ostensibly, if the trigger hasn't been activated by the end of that expiration time then it will expire and your car will have to wait till it is offered again.

PTS says your car has an OTA that is pending for the DSP.

Problem is...all the other updates you were supposed to get have failed to apply for some reason and this one will likely not get applied as well:

Here's the list of available software updates in FDRS, and as you can see some of them were things that were supposed to be sent as OTAs:

You can request that while trying to figure out why your car isn't accepting or applying these updates, that the tech apply them instead using FDRS and they should be able to use the warranty code 'OTAWTY' to pay for the labor.

If you have laptop OBD-II USB dongle and Forscan, you could try potentially forcing the GWM to reboot. I had to do that once. An OTA hung my GWM and updates refused to proceed.

Alternatively you could try Mach-Lee's trick of disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes. But the Forscan method is easier to do :).

@Mike G So I called Ford in vehicle tech support they told me the vehicle should see the update and they are not sure what's happening. No further steps from them other than to take it to the dealer. I called the dealer and they said there will be a charge? is this True?

I have already tried disconnecting the 12V battery and let it sit overnight but it did nothing. Do you think it's still worth trying the reboot via Forscan? (I do have a license and the proper cable).

Thanks!

Not if you tried the disconnect trick. That would have reset all the modules already.

Not if the car is still in warranty. They should use the charge code OTAWTY I believe for that.

@Mike G can you run my vin one more time, I left my car on for 4 hours just to see if it would download that pending update. Just trying all the tips in this forum before I take it to a dealer.

Nothing yet. For some reason, your car is not pinging the server back to allow the OTA process to go to the next step. The OTA trigger is going to expire in two days. If you have FORScan, I would try rebooting the GWM and the TCU. There is a possibility that doing so will cause the update to fail, but right now, it looks like that may happen anyway.

@rugedraw Can I pull a fuse for this or disconnect the 12v battery?

I'm not sure which fuse you have to pull. In theory, disconnecting the 12v for 30 minutes or so should cause a full reset of everything. Again, I am not sure if this is a good idea or not or if this will help the cause. Maybe @Mike G or @Mach-Lee can provide an opinion on this before you do anything.
