We went to visit family today and my uncle has a couple of apple trees that were ready to harvest. He said I could take as many as I want so I loaded the frunk up with around a bushel(42-48 pounds or 20 kilograms). These won't all be for fresh eating. I have a fruit press and most of them will be used to make cider.

Anyway, in case anyone was wondering this is what a bushel of apples looks like in the frunk of a Mach-E.

The frunk volume is 4.7 cubic feet. A bushel is 1.24 cubic feet.

So, the frunk can hold nearly 4 bushels.

Perhaps, but in my experience fruit isn't 1" square cubes that can be neatly stacked in the frunk so it looks good in marketing material.

Anyway, my cousins son who is around 10 saw my wife and I loading bag after bag full of apples then walking them over to the Mustang and dumping them in the frunk. His curiosity got the best of him because he saw the hood was up so he went over to investigate. When I asked him about it he though we were putting the apples in our engine.

If you get to keep your pints, we get to keep our bushels.
Now, history’s not my strong point but……when you say your bushels, with barely 250 yrs of history………..and bushel could date back to Roman times, bushel may belong to neither of us
????????

Now that is odd, the Brittish are using gallons....
(As if things are not complex enough with measurements globally.)
