I haven’t had an update in months after getting them pretty frequently. I assume this is just Ford not focusing on the 21’s. Is there a way to see in FDRS if I have anything stuck that’s preventing it from receiving updates? Had it once before and disconnected battery to get the updates to complete. VIN 3FMTK3SS1MMA55482

Thanks!

I got the "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power" notification today on a 2023 Premium. Is there any more info available in FDRS around this (DTC codes, etc.)? I'd like to get a feel for how I should feel about driving it before my service appointment next week. VIN is 3FMTK3S53PMA82360.

Thanks!

If someone could look up WF0TR3SU8PMA05700
I'd be very grateful.

Looking to make sure OTAs are now working properly.
The car is quite behind on updates. been in the shop for software issues already and then recently the door malfunction.
Just hoping you can see stuff happening in the background that looks like it's now moving in the right direction as I'm not seeing anything in the car. (Updates are enabled of course)

Difficult question.

You don't have any GWM, APIM, TCU, or IPC updates in your list that might be holding things back but then again the fact that you have a CCM update in your list when most of the '21 models I see have gotten that one done by now might be a clue. Honestly I don't know, but if I were doing the updates I'd start with the CCM, CMR, IPMA, PSCM and then see if any GWM, APIM, TCU, IPC show up after each of those updates, because it's possible that one of the cruise control module updates are holding things up from progressing. Again, it's not conclusive and Ford does not publish anything for techs to use as a guide so that they know what the software dependencies are.

I believe that the APIM update in this list is the holdup. Also ask your shop about the errors between the gateway and the APIM. Then ask them how many times the APIM has failed to update as an OTA and if those two things are connected.

SOBDMC: P0D1B:00; This DTC sets when the SOBDMC receives a LIN message indicating that the system is unable to determine the position of the High Voltage Battery Coolant Control Valve "B".

What did the service advisor tell you when you asked them?

Thanks so much.

Are those errors historical by any chance? Don't think they are on your screenshot?
It went in the shop and I'm told it had a new APIM fitted (July 24) to fix an issue of not receiving any updates whatsoever. So if there are still errors occurring along the same lines I'll get back to Ford UK.

As historical as yesterday, actually.

Can you check 3FMTK3SU5NMA28367 please? Deciding whether I'm better off spending $50 on FDRS or MDARS this week ?

I've been having intermittent issues with BC disengaging randomly for ~1 second when driving. It will say "resume control" then "lane centering not available" and then go right back to BC. It used to happen very infrequently, but now it's been happening almost every time I drive on the highway and sometimes multiple times. Most of the time it recovers, but there have been a few instances where BC doesn't come back until I shut off the car for a while.

This time it happened and BC didn't recover, I got the front facing camera fault (which usually doesn't happen), so I pulled the codes. I got:
U3000(04) from the CMR
U0565(86) from the IPMA

I have seen in multiple threads that issues with the coax cable can cause the front facing camera fault intermittently but the error codes don't seem to line up with that. I was going to pull off the panel behind the rear view mirror to do a quick check on that cable for a sharp bend anyways since it seems like an easy check.

Any other ideas? Do I have a bad module potentially?
My VIN is 3FMTK3R70MMA00183 if anyone is able to check.

Thanks!
