TLDR:
1. Change IPC value 720-02-01 xx*x xxxx xxxx to one of 0/4/8/C (Lane Assist Disabled)
2. Change Settings > Driver Assistance > Pre-Collision Assist > Distance Indication to OFF
DISCLAIMER: This turns off safety features, use at your own discretion. The effect on BlueCruise after this change is unknown as I don't use that feature. After this change, the lane assist button on the steering wheel does nothing. Adaptive cruise control appears to still work as expected.

Hey folks! After having my brand new 2023 California Route 1 in for a service, they upgraded a bunch of modules, I guess that included PowerUp 6.8.0 because my instrument cluster started showing the ugly car-in-the-middle as everyone's been bashing here. I also hate it. Love the speedometer in the middle with the beautiful graphics, and that should always be an option for us to choose. @Ford Motor Company PLEASE make this an option so we don't have to hack around this.
Anyways, I've found a fix/workaround to get the speedometer back in the middle. It requires turning off Lane Assist via FORScan and then turning off Distance Indication. I personally dislike Lane Assist anyways (or at least the assist portion, I don't mind if it vibrates to alert me and then I can manually correct).

Software required:

Mach-E FORScan codes spreadsheet:

Procedure:
1. Change IPC value 720-02-01 xx*x xxxx xxxx to one of 0/4/8/C (Lane Assist Disabled)
2. Change Settings > Driver Assistance > Pre-Collision Assist > Distance Indication to OFF
To determine what value you want 0/4/8/C, check what values you have already have for KIIWC and DRLCF...
e.g. if you're staring with:
A = KIIWC enabled • DRLCF disabled • LA Full_LDW_LKA
change to
8 = KIIWC enabled • DRLCF disabled • LA Disabled
