1st time Tesla charge. Had to angle in for cable to reach

My first charging at Tesla Supercharger. EA chargers were being refurbished Knoxville, TN) so went to these chargers a few miles away. Pulling straight in as far as I could (high curb so couldn’t pull up any farther) the cord wouldn’t reach. Luckily only one other person here so I was able to angle in for it to reach. Started charging as soon as as I plugged in and working well so far, with 100mi extra range in 15min.

This is at the chargers on I-95 SB service area in Newton MA. Just inches to spare , but I’m in a space that is meant for a ChargePoint charger adjacent to the Superchargers. Uneventful experience, but I wonder how it will be at more crowded times.

Supercharger in Powell has 24 stalls and will be way less awkward FYI.

FYI Rick, I've found a lot of people don't understand the right side of that photo is the "wrong" way without giving additional explanation. They think it shows the two different ways Tesla wants you to park. ?‍

In this case, I think OP may have been justified because of the elevated charger bases preventing the nose from sticking over the curb far enough. He's still only taking up two spots too.

No problem! You actually got really lucky that downtown charger gets pretty busy to where getting 2 slots open can be rare.
