This is a thread for the founding Mach E owners who took a chance and bought a 2021. I’m not including those who recently snagged a 21 on the used market.

I’m just curious… how many of us are left on this forum? Check in, please!

I have been an almost daily visitor to this board since shortly before I bought my First Edition. But in the last few months, my interest has waned. I just don’t get much useful information here anymore. Most of the posts seem to be noobs (no offense - I was once a noob, too) that I find repetitive and tedious.

I’ve lost interest in discussion about software updates which have been shelved indefinitely for my vehicle.

This is nothing against buyers of more recent models, btw. Hope you all enjoy your newer purchases. It’s just that for me, even though I plan to keep my car for several more years, my participation on this board is nearing the end of its useful life.
We still have our First Edition and my wife is the primary driver...

Reserved - 11/2019
Delivered/Purchased - 02/2021
46600 miles
2 3200+ mile trips to TX from CA
Nothing but routine maintenance and 1 drivers side half-shaft.

Overall the FE has been good. No real complaints other than the spotty OTA issues and rough ride. But those are more of my own complaints. My wife doesn't think the ride is bad as it rides the same as her last car or OTA issues even though she is very much an auto enthusiast as I am. She just has different likes.

Our options lease is up in a few months and my wife wants to go back to her own convertible. She liked the idea of driving our Bronco Raptor with top off (and doors) until she saw what it takes to take the top off. No simple one button top down/up feature like her old Audi A5 Cabriolet. However she also wants to keep her FE so looks like I am going to have to make room for yet another car... first world problems you know:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm still here and feel the same way you do. My car has 105,000 miles on it with no additional issues than what I've reported in the past. I just replaced the LVB since the warrantee on it recently expired and my Ford Pass points would have been expiring next month anyways to pay for it.

Just passed 50k, and still one of the best vehicles I've had. Do I gnash my teeth at the OTA pace (particularly for the AA/Google Maps integration?) - yes.

Outside of that, it's a good ride, and knowing I was in the first model year of a new model WITH new technology, I could not be happier.

‘21 Job 1 reporting in. Only owner. It’s been a bumpy ride (in more ways than one).

Still love it.

Preordered my Infinite Blue Premium when they were announced and cannot remember the date that far back but it was built in December '20 and I picked it up February '21. When the GT was announced in April '21, ordered one of those. It was built in August '21 and I picked it up in October '21. Sold the Premium with 10K miles and still have the GTPE. It has 44K miles and until Ford comes back with Iconic Silver (or any type of silver) I won't be buying another one.

Still here and visit daily, though more lurking than posting. There's not much to contribute with a Job 1 car these days.

With a job 1 car, I knew walking in that I was going to have an uptick of recalls and other actions. Things that wouldn't apply to folks buying new now. I'm not at all happy with the lack of communication on the future of support with the car and have gone the route of manually updating.

That said, I do really enjoy the car! As I work at home, most of the miles are long-distant road trips.

We placed our order in July 2020 and picked it up late March 2021. Like many I assume, our first test drive was on the way out of the dealership after delivery. Just over 34k miles and still on the original tires. We still love it and plan to keep it until after our 8 year extended warranty runs out.

Thanks to OP @SonicBlue for starting this thread.

J1 '21 Mach-E 4x Premium IB (the best color as some other members have pointed out, and it only existed for that model year), picked up on the Fourth of July 2021.

Check the forum every once in a while to see what might be new, and to learn from the experts -- including over at the "Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others" thread. Edit: And just today found out about the A2Z V1 Exchange on the forum!

Similar grumbles as others, but minor compared to the fun of driving it new and still three years later. Access to superchargers has made long-distance trips easy. Got the ESP through Granger as insurance since I plan to keep it until 2027 and then see what the EV market looks like.

Here are a few key facts:
I still love the car, but I'm getting more and more frustrated by the lack of updates and clarity about Ford's plans for this particular production year.
What updates do you feel you are missing or feel you need? (Other than Blue Cruise). At some point in the cars life there will be very few updates other than DC chargers location/integration with navigation/trip planning, safety systems, and bugs. I did get the 3 yr, $600 blue cruise subscription extension for $600. I will likely not renew it when my car is 6 yrs old. Everything on my car works. I have the frunk open from FP, kick to open rear hatch feature (no longer available) which works well, PAAK works well. You can't add a heat pump via OTA.
