Hi Mike,
Had the car in for a final service before the warranty expires. I brought up the 12v battery and they tested it and said it needed replacing. They also were kind enough to update the remaining modules. So did they do what they said or is there any remaining? Thanks again as always.

Can someone look up 3FMTK3SU4MMA26818?

I recently had my HVBJB work done and am curious what they did and didn’t update. Thanks!
Your HVJB work was completed back in June.

The most recent visit was for 23B50. That was an update to the powertrain software.

Thanks in advance for the help.

post that brought me here:
——————————
I had the same message (High Voltage Battery issue and Drivetrain issue) pop up last weekend. Started with battery not charging and vehicle completely dead with last read at 9%. Ford roadside assist helped charge the 12V battery so I could access the car. Got the message when driving onto tow truck bed. Took it to public charging but still would not charge. Took it to dealership and left it for a couple of days. They had to change out the 12v battery. Got it back on Tuesday. Have had the car 33 days and wife was stranded with the lockout. :/
Two facts jump out at me. The first is that your car's TCU (onboard telematics modem) is reporting that as recently as two days ago it lost the connection to the gateway module (the car's network router that ties all modules together). The second fact is this message in the system that indicates that your car is not properly reporting it's status:

The possibility exists that this car simply needs the 12V battery negative terminal to be disconnected for 5 minutes and then reconnected to completely reset everything. I say that because in all the cases where there was a 'lockout' situation, that was actually the remedy that corrected it.

If you do disconnect the 12V battery and then reconnect it, take a short drive and then request another check of your VIN then we can tell you if it looks like the problem is resolved.

You can always contact your servicing dealer and request they look into the matter and ask that they pull up your connceted vehicle health page, and they'll see exactly what I'm seeing.

You do also have a few outstanding FSAs that the dealer would need to address anyway, so a visit to the shop might be the best idea.

Hey! Hate to return to this thread as it usually means I am having an issue... My HVBJB died for a second time, and in the repairs they also had to replace one of my modules. Since getting the car back, I have a failed 10.1 OTA update that refuses to run...

VIN: 3FMTK4SX6NMA01582

Assuming they need to manually update my modules before OTA updates start working again (had to do this in the past), but I figured I'd check to see if theres anything else glaringly obvious that would cause the OTA to fail.

Thanks so much!!!
That APIM update (10.1.0) was cancelled by the cloud. No further explanation provided.

Your '21 model isn't getting updates because Ford isn't sending them to you.

There's nothing wrong with your car. The list of available updates showing in FDRS (below) are what the majority of '21 models are showing as well.

In particular, Ford are not sending out the IPMA/PSCM updates to '21 models (Bluecruise improvements) for reasons that they won't explain publicly. ?‍♂

If I'm understanding correctly, it sounds like some updates are being made available for the '21s again? Could someone kindly check 3FMTK3SU4MMA23367 for me?

Thanks!

You have no available updates in FDRS. You have no OTA history (only goes back 60 days).

You do however have a 12V battery state of charge at only 55%. So something's up with your 12V battery. That low SOC was reported during your drive this morning.

Thanks, @Mike G !

I took it in for the HVBJB work in June, right as the big ransomware attack hit a bunch of dealers. As a result they “finished” the swap but couldn’t file the work report with Ford.
So Ford, not knowing what was done, has kept bugging me to get it completed for months. I finally called the dealer back about a month ago and they said they had no record of the work actually being done, and to bring it back in to make sure…

So I did, they said it hadn’t actually been done in June, and sent a picture of the old junction box module (hopefully actually mine…) to show that they got it out.

It’s a confusing mess, so thank you for giving me another independent perspective into the current state of my car!
