What's up everyone. Placed my reservation for the GT trim a few days ago, and anxiously awaiting it until then. Going to be a long year. Currently driving a 2015 Mustang GT 5.0, which is my third Mustang, so I'm a lifelong Mustang enthusiast.. Going to miss the noise and feel of this one, but I'm super psyched for the Mach-E. I worked at Tesla for a while so I'm very familiar with EVs.

Anyway, nice to meet you guys!

Welcome my fellow Mustang owner! Sounds like you'll be selling the GT in favor of the Mach-E? That's a big leap!

And that's a testament to the appeal of the Mach-E that you work for Tesla but chose to buy the Mach-E. ?

Thanks! Correct, I'm selling the GT in favor of the Mach-E GT. I'll miss the noise and will probably be grieving for a while, but it's the right thing for me and mine.

And yes, the Mach-E is very appealing. I should clarify that I worked at Tesla (but no longer). It is a testament to the Mach-E, but if for any unexpected reason my test drive doesn't live up to my expectations, I'm going straight to the Model Y Performance. Tesla has set the bar quite high, and while I think Ford will meet that bar, they're on a short leash lol.

Hi first time Ford and EV future driver. I am very active on many Saab fora, drive a stage 5 tunes Saab 9-3 sportcombi. Love that (Saab/gm) brand , but as it’s long time out of business and our company made a rule only to lease EV from 2020 on, i was stuck. I am not a Tesla 3 fan, let alone the ugly electric bmw and vw golf. Luckily I noticed the Mach-e on time and we ordered some. Due to Dutch taxation changes in 2021I hope to drive it in 2020.
Will be interesting to see how the mustangs behave on long road trips from Holland to the Swiss alps

Hi all,
Considering the Mustang Mach E to be my first EV. I currently have a 2016 Mustang GT as my “weekend” car and a 2008 Civic as my daily/commuter car. Can’t wait to learn more about this platform.

Hallo guys, I'm new here and live in the Netherlands in Europe.
The 16th of January this year, I had the change to see the Mach E, to sit in it, to check the feel and look of it and to speak with representatives of Ford Netherlands. All in a small town called Amerongen.
What a car. Even my wife was convinced.
I never drove a mustang before, don't know if it's comparable but it's certainly a car I like and want to drive.
The same evening I reserved a RWD, infinite blue, extended range and the "technology plus pack".
Here in the Netherlands this technology plus pack deliveres the B&O sound system, the handsfree tailgate, the Active driver assist, traffic sign recognition, active park assist, 360 degree camera, heated memory frontseats, panorama roof, heat resistant windscreen and electric folding mirrors. A lot of toys for boys so.
I cannot wait but fear the day I have to make up my definite order.
That's because I still can't decide between performance and range.
It's still possible to change the RWD in AWD, can't make up my mind.
Will I enjoy the extra range (extra available energy!) or will I regret the lack of a extra motor/performance after all.
In the Netherlands this is a expansive decision. My current reservation costs about 63 K euro and the AWD will be about 70K euro.
Could use some wisdom.

Greetings!!! New member here. I have reserved my Mach E GT a couple months back after thinking hard about the Model Y or the Audi E-tron Fastback. Confess I have owned many a Ford in the past, but have been very concerned if Ford can figure out how to build a great EV AND provide the customer experience EV owners want (hint: approach Tesla took without the crazy silicon valley stuff). I drive a 2014 Fusion Energi plug in Hybrid and love the car for low-cost commute to work (80mpg avg)...but for the fact Ford did not know how to deal with an Hybrid BEV over the past 5 ish years. Two main issues:

1) My battery had a 21 mile range when I got it in 2014 but has degraded by ~50% at 100,000 miles going only 10-12 miles now (don't worry, it goes into "hybrid mode" at 40mpg after the plug in battery is used up). Despite the dealership service manager going to bat for me several times, Ford would not acknowledge a battery problem or take care of the issue (I just could not let go 50% degradation over 100,000 miles was acceptable). I believe that my driving to/from work charging/depleting fully 2x per day was the issue but the car did not "protect the battery" via the software in any way.

2) Early Sync back in 2014 (and earlier such as in my 2011 Edge) had HORRIBLE software system and no way to upgrade to newer/better Sync versions later. It was as if they wanted us to buy new cars to rid ourselves of miserable electronics infotainment package after 2-3 years or something (similar to how we all deal with smartphones)?

But the awesome service from my Dealership over time, my historical great experience with Ford quality (but for above issues in early EV attempts), the fact they did not take a bailout in great-recession and the fact they seem to have really figured out how to deliver a serious Tesla competitor with looks, performance, range and electronics, I decided to go all in on the Mach E GT! Can't wait until I can drive one at some point.

Hi all,

I was one of the first to place a First Edition order here in the UK. I was invited to Dunton Technical Centre (Ford's technical HQ here in the UK) to see the vehicle in December. Its incredible. Cant wait until October.

Grabber Blue ordered BT

A couple points to help alleviate your concerns. The Energi's didn't have liquid thermal management -- the battery was only air-cooled. The Mach-E has the former system. The warranty is 70% degradation for 8 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Elsewhere it has been said that 70% degredation is considered the extreme (high temperatures and always fast charging). I can't corroborate that.

2) Early Sync back in 2014 (and earlier such as in my 2011 Edge) had HORRIBLE software system and no way to upgrade to newer/better Sync versions later. Sync was definitely garbage back then. I have it with my 2013 C-Max, although the latest updates have fixed almost everything. I do know that the next-gen sync has just about nothing in common with My Ford Touch. Completely different technology.

New Member. Always wanted a Mustang and the Mach E is like a dream come true. EV and Mustang, in my opinion nothing better. Placed my order on 11/18 right after the launch. Reservation number 42XX for a Red Premium edition.
