I’d be surprised if there is no knock on effect felt here in the UK... Fords most insignificant Mach-E market. If I have to wait until August, I’m likely to cancel.
I'm thinking that i'm buying the first version and am worrying now by that and the way they are handling things.

And that "additional quality checks" etc email might have worked back in the 90s but i'm too old now and wise to not see through meaningless PR b/s.

Too many things now are starting to flag up red flags. I need to deal with an open and honest business.

Also they are too protected by their online sales method as there is no one to deal with to moan at by the way they have kept the dealer out of this.

I admire your positivity, Grahame. Unfortunately I don’t share it... extra quality assurance smells a bit bullshitty to me.
It does to me too. Rumour is that there is a problem with seats/ sensors. If Ford don't tell their customers the truth they get slammed and people threaten to cancel. If they do tell then they are open for ridicule and stock price will fall. Bit like Boris and Covid. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Personally speaking I would rather any snags get fixed prior to delivery rather than having the car for a few days then it having a stay in a dealer for recall work.

Seats? That“s trivial and if so they should just say it's that and we can relax.

Not really trivial if it affects the sensors that turn on/off the safety systems when someone is sitting in them

Anyone had updates on the tracker since the delays were announced? Mine is now showing in transit with an ETA end date of 26 Jan. I was given an estimated delivery date for first week of April, so still hopeful.

You're lucky. I haven't heard of anyone else in UK having theirs changed. Mine still reads 1990-01-01 (was 2021-02-07 last week) and "in production". My production date was 2020-12-09.

I see on the Dutch thread someone has had their build date pushed back by around 3 weeks.

Isn't it amazing how this all happened after the confirmation deadline? They've got our money now.

No mate, just ETA and in transit. I didn’t pre-order until June, confirmed in December, so if it is right, I will have been lucky alright!

This is the Dutch one "Build date was 8Feb, now moved to 1st of March. ETA May 15th.

Order date was somewhere in May last year, so 12 month lead time. I ordered a RWD SR + "

You still have a cancel button and the right to cancel regardless of whether a button is visible.
But you then lose the original £500 which was refundable up to the point of confirmation. Right now I'm still in, but I dont like the timing of this announcement.
