I've seen some 2021s getting updates and would be grateful if someone could see in FDRS if any are available for my J1. I was up to date a month ago. 3FMTK3SU4MMA36930

Hi. I'm bringing our car in for the HVBJB recall and would appreciate it if someone could take a look at what other updates are available (and advice on what problems I may be having to have them add those updates while it's in the shop). The biggest other problem I have experienced is the headlights turning themselves on.

VIN: 3FMTK3SU8NMA23647

Thanks so much!

Here's the list of available updates in FDRS:

Dealer tech should update the powertrain modules in this list as a function of the HVJB replacement process. That would include the PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, and SOBDMC.

Your windshield fogs up when it's freezing. See attached TSB.

You mentioned your headlights. I don't see the related DTC in the BCM for that but you can say that they sometimes come on by themselves.

You may be having PAAK Concerns. See attached SSM.

You sometimes hear a hissing noise coming from the speakers. This should lead to the DSP getting updated.

If your driver's seat and mirrors don't adjust to the profile connected to the key fob you're carrying, but to the saved profile for another driver, then your DSM should probably get updated.

You do have an IPMA DTC that connects to the SSM for "Camera Unavailable" that's attached below.

And I'm sure you've experienced where your drive mode drops from the one you were using to a different mode. Like from Unbridle to Whisper, etc. That would be TSB 24-2012.

You aren't the only one with an ACM GVMS warning. I've seen that several times this week. Don't worry about it.

had a tech come out recently and do the Csp 23b50 along with a couple of other updates but not sure if he did tsb 24-2012. Would someone mind running my vin so I could find out what I may currently be missing? Thanks so much.

That would have been on the 3rd of Dec.

Here's the list of available updates this morning:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 3FMTK3SU1NMA23876-15-Dec-24

23B50 was a FSA campaign that was intended to update the powertrain modules to correct an issue that could lead to the 'stuck charge cord' issue. Matched to your VIN as a CSP.

On the other hand, TSB 24-2012 would only have come into play if you expressed the concern to the service advisor that your car dropped out of the normal drive mode you use, into some other drive mode. It's not a CSP or other recall they would have been aware of unless you said something to them about uncommanded drive mode switching being a problem.

So if you'd like them to come back out and do those updates, you'd have to call the service advisor and let them know you have a concern and that your car changes drive mode while you're driving. It would also be helpful to tell them you have heard that there is a TSB that covers it and provide them the number so they can look it up and match it to the condition you mentioned.

Then, if they send a tech out again, it's likely that your GWM, APIM, TCU, and maybe even the latest powertrain updates that showed up after your car was updated on the 3rd, would again get updated while he was connected (they take less than 5 minutes).

Thanks very much Mike, really appreciate the update look up, not to mention the thorough explanation. As usual, above and beyond. My mme has changed modes on me from time to time, so I’ll definitely get it looked at.

Once that GWM is done, it will release another APIM or TCU update and when that one is done, it will release the next one in the sequence until a) there are no more updates available for your VIN or b) you reach the latest available Sync version which would be the equivalent to the one people get with the 10.1.0 OTA. Based on everything the dealer did for you, I don't think the expense for FDRS is warranted unless you REALLY want whatever is offered in the latest APIM update, and that is assuming you will be able to update all the way to it. It is possible that once you get to Sync 23291, you will not be able to update any further if no more updates have been released for your car. The only way to know for sure is to do update until no more are there.
Still trying to understand the versioning logic here. The car is on Sync 23095 and "new" sync design was introduced in version 22326, as far as I can see here on GitHub. I'm on the UI with the Mach-e model in the top left corner. I'm assuming it's not that straightforward?

Not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly, but the Sync version you're on is two versions behind the latest one. Depending on what updates are available for you from Ford, you may or may not be able to update past the version.

My question is more straightforward. I’m looking for the update from this screenshot. This should be in a older Sync version already than I currently have. Hence my confusion.

Not really sure. I don't own one of these cars, so not sure which update put that icon there.

The technician at your shop got too tired.

On the 9th they did the powertrain updates and the IPMA and apparently one APIM update.

But either no new updates showed as available after that....or they decided that was enough for one day. Your current revision of Sync is one that we had over here in the US two years ago. That "-DT" revision is the one where you can use two cell phones at the same time. That was a long time ago for North American owners.

Here's today's list of available updates, and you can see by the note at the bottom (Additional Updates) just how many updates you are behind for Sync. And also, sometimes when APIM (Sync) updates are performed, it unlocks other updates as well.
