No more motion-activated tailgate, no more parking assist, removal of one of the tailgate buttons, the 3-segmented turn signals, etc. Our complaints seem quaint compared to all the ways BMW's beancounters cheapened the i3 over the years:

It’s Insane How Much Cheaper The BMW i3 Got Over The Years (And I’m Not Talking About Price)
yeah but look at how drastically prices have dropped on the mach e. I sept of 23 I bought my gtpe price was around 67k, virtually the same car now prices at around $55k. If I'd have waited a year to trade my 21 in I'd be a whole lot happier with what I would've paid vs what I paid. If that means no kick liftgate, loss of parking assist etc. it's worth it.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I would have preferred that Ford moved those to a “Luxury” or “Platinum” package, instead of simply giving up.
I remember when the Mustang Mach-E first came out (when they were just doing the road shows of the vehicle), people were incredibly impressed with the attention of detail, particularly on the interior. The materials, the finishes (especially at touch points), and so on. I’m sure they’ve saved a few cents by removing the dampers on the assist handles and sunglasses holder, and I’m sure the “3 on the tree” gear selector was strictly a cost decision. The problem is that, taken individually, these don’t seem like big deals. However, when you take them in aggregate, you get some cheap Fiesta-like vehicle.

How many people have complained about the loss of soundscreen glass?
I don't know.

My biggest beef would be the hands-free liftgate. I imagine everyone has details that they do or don't care about.

I just had this experience at my dealership today. I just swapped my 2021 Premium AWD for a 2024, picked up last week. The new one came with the "protection package" which, according to the description online included the cargo cover. I noticed I didn't have it. I was picking up my plates today, and the sales person consulted with the sales manager that none of the cars come with them anymore. Before I left, she found one for me and gave it to me. Just another example of cheapening.

I have to agree. We went down to our local dealership and this is the Mach-E they have on their lot...

My wife said "no way we ain't buying that" but I'm on the fence. They have a 1.9% financing deal. I might go back down on my own and get this before someone else does.

The kick sensor is sometimes useful, when it works. The trouble is that exactly when you need the kick sensor the most - when your hands are full with something awkward and bulky - is when your phone is on your pocket, which is when PAAK is much less reliable.
It's possible yours has come loose and is pointed forward. I've had 110% success with mine. Even my dog can activate it in the garage. If I remember right it's on a bracket.

Mark Boris noticed it on the way home. I'd assume only the >23 -> 24+ upgraders would ever have noticed or known.

That means they would have needed to fix the suspension to not be a brick on bouncy tires. Until they come up with more travel it's not going to be close to luxury.

That's a 23 ^^ They might try to play the old bait and switch on you. then you'd have to buy floor mats and a $800 a year BC 1.2 subscription

I think it's missing a few parts ?

Hey I get it - Ford is taking a bath on the Mach E and its first go at EVs, and when you drop a product's price thousands of dollars something's got to give. I was pointing out that every automaker does the same thing.

Or, in the case of the Mach-E, that's why you buy the first model year Job 2. ;)
Second model year, job 2.5. My batch was the last to be produced with shitty HVBJBs.

The front headlamp assembly - now standardized between all trims - features slightly different turn signals. Instead of many LEDs "smoothly" signaling the turn, it is now broken up into three segments. They still work sequentially and it is a minor difference, but it lacks the smoothness of the originals.

Orginals (21-23):

Is it only me that thinks the blinkers work backwards?
Turns off from inside towards the outside, instead of turning ON from inside to outside?
It works the opposite way compared to the ICE Mustang.

Hate to break it to you but the bad HVBJBs didn’t get phased out for the third generation ones until mid-November of 2023. ??

That was by design since all of the hoi-polloi cars that have sequential turn signals copies the Cougar’s in to out light up sequence. The MME is more elite; bougey, if you will. ??

I did for one. To clarify, we are not talking about the windshield. Every premium and GT I have seen has the SoundScreen acoustic windshield. When I mentioned the 18 things I noticed that were different in my thread a month or so ago, I was talking about the front side windows. The 2024's had acoustic front side windows until around July (Job 1?). After that (Job 2?) they are tempered non-acoustic glass like the rear door and liftgate windows. I replaced mine with the laminated acoustic glass.

Yup. See below. ;)
The second tailgate button was also pretty useless
While I agree cause I’m a bit over 6’ tall, shorter people rather liked the second button.
The kick sensor is sometimes useful, when it works.
When.

I have about a 40% success rate on the kick to open feature since new. I rarely attempt it any longer. The dealer says it checks ok. I think they’re right btw. I use PAAK on my phone which is usually in my back pocket when I need to kick to open. While driving the dealer’s mme these past few weeks I’m using the fob and kick to open works just fine. The fob is usually in a front pocket. If I have to pull my phone out of my back pocket to open the liftgate I’m just going to push the FordPass button on it or on my Apple Watch. I’ll not miss the feature.
Overall, I’ve been incredibly pleased with the vehicle
Likewise.
I've had 110% success with mine
???.

Feast or famine. I’m at 40%. Between the two of us we’re at a 75% average. :)

Nobody who actually tried the parking assist cares about losing that feature. It would be generous to call it half-baked.

The second tailgate button was also pretty useless.

Now, if I could figure out how to convert my parking aid button into a tailgate button, that would be useful. Tapping into settings to open my trunk is so stupid.

Converting the parking aid button into a tailgate button is one of the first things I did when I got my '24. In my '21 Premium I installed a momentary hard button under the console. In my '21 GT I installed an OEM liftgate button in place of the Max defrost button on the headlamp switch assembly. They car decided to just use the Park assist button so I did not have to mess around with getting a liftgate switch and modding the headlamp switch assembly. The park assist button does not do anything anyway in the later models.

If you want, I can add how I did this to the parking switch to my thread above. I mentioned it to a few people and no one was interested in using the parking switch for this.

EDIT: Added wiring the parking assist switch to operate liftgate:
