Hey everyone,

I’m aware that there are solutions to fix the wireless charging issue on our Mach-Es ranging from 3D print holders with a magsafe charger to fully built TWARPS

While the solutions, like TWARPS, were quite expensive, costing around $100 or too specifically custom that could be not as easy.

However, I’ve come up with a more affordable and pretty easy solution for $10 (2 magnet sets for $10). Simply attach the magsafe magnets to the rubber mat, and voila! The wireless charging issue is resolved.

Here’s how it turned out for me! I had some plastic holders from a different MagSafe magnets set that I used to make it look aesthetically pleasing, but it’s completely unnecessary, if you don’t wanna do it.

I was just thinking about this the other day and wondered if it would work. I was thinking of ripping apart a case to test it. ?

Thank you for this and verifying it works.

Hope many would get to this post and solve their concerns with just a little scratch to the bank!

I've gone down this road before (though I'm primarily an Android person, so I need to add something to my phone or a case or something in addition to the car).

Depending on the thickness of the mat, you might be able to add the magnets to the actual charger under the mat and it would still grab enough to hold in place. Obviously no where near as much as being on top, but depending on the magnet and your device, it would probably still work.

I fixed mine even cheaper though... about $0.01 worth of aluminum foil taped to the top of the charger.

Thats interesting. One of the issues I have experienced with the existing charging mat and modern iPhones is that the camera lenses protrude so much that the charging mat and the magsafe case don't make reliable contact. This magnet sticker was enough to solve that problemwith a iPhone 16 Pro Max? Wow.

So these bigger phones still have a spot where they charge, the issue is they move out of the way while driving.

This little sticker makes sure it sits in the same spot for the whole time (Reliable Contact)

Interestingly if my new phone is not at 100% charge the phone no longer feels as if it was set out on the asphalt on a 100 degree day when on the wireless phone heater.

Great news! Thnx. Wondered if the wireless charger would ever work. Going to give it a try. Good ol’ Amazon, where would be without it

My charging mat (2021 model) has a different design, do you still imagine this working ok? Also did your MME have the wireless charging performance update?

Does this resolve the overheating problem on the charger?
