Your car did receive a powertrain update (updates to the ABS, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, SOBDM, BECM and PCM) on the 15th of October after which the RO# for FSA 24B60 (brake performance update) was closed out. So yes, your car did receive that update.

You didn't say where you are seeing this listed as not completed. Is it FordPass?

The 4.2.1 OTA you received on the 6th of December was a gateway (GWM) update.

When you say you were told that all 'updates applied'...that likely meant that all updates that Ford was paying the tech to apply under warranty or a customer satisfaction program (CSP) were done.

That's 'Service Advisor speak' for we did all the updates that we're getting paid to do, which is definitely not all the updates that are available to be performed. There has to be a 'bill payer' for the labor.

Here's the list of currently available software updates for your car in FDRS this morning:
WF0TR3SU8PMA08998-9-Jan-25.jpg

Your build date was 11 November '22.

You sir are a star :)

Thank so much for that info. Need to go pull fuses 21/22 out soon since ive lost connectivity

I see two CSPs both on the app (when it was working) and on the ford website directly, one of which is the brake perf update:

Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) **
MUSTANG MACH-E BRANDED KEY SUPPLY
MACHE - BRAKE PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE UPDATE

Im actually a little disappointed its got a build 22 date, it was registered in march 23. Oh well, still beautiful.

Thanks again!

Need car for a 7 hour round trip today and over the weekend, but will let you know.
If all my posts suddenly disappear you know it went wrong and I'm playing dumb for warranty purposes ?
Well I did some digging around behind the dash but honestly I didn't go getting my meter on the cables as I didn't actually want to break anything when it's what the warranty is for! (chicken emoji)

Went back into Ford today and yesterday, they did some "software updates" but were as vague as usual. I'm not convinced it'll solve my Gateway/APIM comms fault....

Would one of you folks with the superpowers mind taking a look and seeing what has been done/modules updated over last 48 hours on WF0TR3SU8PMA05700 to satisfy my curiosity?

Many thanks

Hi all, just bought a used '21 Premium ER. The software history information on Ford's website is showing nothing, so I was wondering if someone could check whether or not my car is up to date: 3FMTK3R72MMA21147. Thanks!

Vehicle is on Sync 23352 which is not far behind at all. OTA history does not show any recent OTA action, but the modem seems to be working fine and the car is communicating with the server. It seems like your auto-updates feature is not turned on, so I would turn that on so if an update does get sent, your car is set up to receive it.

So you probably have a key fob from a early 2020's Ford Fiesta (or similar). That's because of the UK insurance regulators not wanting you to risk getting your car stolen by having a transponder key that somebody could use a signal booster on from outside your house, to steal your car (without ever going in to your house at all).

You have a shed-load of updates that will only appear when the prerequisite module updates have been applied.

Case in point. That APIM (Sync) update in your list below. When that gets applied it will unlock the ability to update a GWM (gateway module), and on and on in a similar fashion until your car is 'walked forward' to the currently permitted revision of Sync for the UK market. (This is all listed in the "Additional Updates" note.)

It is entirely possible, if not very probable, that the backlog you see in this list is the very reason you aren't getting any OTAs.
Hi Mike,

Thanks for the previous lookup. I gave the details to Ford and they happily updated; I guess I have a good main dealership. Please can I ask you to check again to confirm that they have done all outstanding updates? They should have as they required the car for two days.

VIN: WF0TR3SU2MMA28322

Thanks again.

Hi,

Had an error code come up after a car wash I think when going from neutral to drive without having foot on brake. Hoping someone could check my VIN - thank you so much

They were never sent to your car.
Thank you! In your experience other than luck anything I can possible to kick the tires on these updates? Connect to home wifi? Go to the dealership to get the updates?

Only 4 more updates to go until the system thinks you're all caught up.

Once that TCU is updated then the GWM (gateway) will become available, and then after that the next APIM (Sync), etc...you get the idea.

Well, there's only ever been two very small updates that ever came across Wi-Fi, and I think they were test updates to see if it was possible.

You'd probably have to rely on getting your dealer tech to do those updates or do them yourself.

Well I'm not sure that going from neutral to drive without a foot on the brake would have caused anything...but you did get an alert about maintenance being due soon and a bunch of DTCs yesterday.

It looks like the 'maintenance due' alert is related to you're being close to the 20k mark.

When you next take the car out, if there are no alerts or warnings on the instrument panel, then it was likely a transitory condition. If one or more errors do show up on the instrument panel then you should call your service advisor and simply tell them that your car is indicating that it has a powertrain issue, and your 1Pedal drive mode stopped working briefly, and you'd like the car checked.

Thank you so much! What causes transitory codes?

It could be an internal network issue in the car, or sudden loss of traction, all sorts of things that may not be a permanent issue but pop up and then if the condition is not persistent the system resumes normal function. So you could get a DTC code of some sort and after shutting off and restarting the car if the condition is not still present the code is cleared but retained in the module's history so it can be referenced in the future, until a tech clears the codes when they connect up with the diagnostic tool.

The owner website software history only shows you what has been sent as an OTA in the last 90 days. Obviously, none of the stuff in the list above was sent to your car during that time.
