High voltage / Powertrain Malfunction (2024 premium)

Well. Just got the dreaded error message many of you are familiar with. I hadn't heard of it happening with newer cars. This is a 2024 Mach e premium extended range with 1800 miles. Literally bought it a month ago. ?

I was hoping it would clear overnight while it was charging but no.

Dropped it off at the dealership this AM and they told me they'd be able to look at it "in a few days". After initially telling me that they don't have a loaner car they miraculously found one after I spoke to the sales manager. Lol

I'll keep you updated on the diagnosis.

Yeah I got the service engine soon pop up on the dash while I was driving on the freeway.

and then my acceleration took a big hit.

Update: dealership ordered and is replacing the high voltage junction box.

Thank you for the update- we all thought the “c” version or newer on the 2024 would minimize HVB failures . Interesting as this forum can provide a “record” of 2024 HVB failures for 2024’s. So appropriately 20k cars 2024 MME sold is a handful of failures anticipated?

Exactly, it's the bathtub curve. The concern is when things don't follow that trend

My coworkers 2024 GT is at the dealer waiting for parts for a HVBJB. It failed at 3k miles, I thought this was a common issue for all GT's, even 2024's?

When taking into account that 24s hasn’t been produced / lived that long, I am concerned. I’m on my fourth, ugh (extended range non-RWD).
