Bummer. Similar timeline, it's been about 11 days. But my dealer swapped out my loaner Bronco for a '22 Mach E GT, so I'm happy. I heard from him that the part (HVJB) has been shipped from the supplier...not sure what that means for timeline but hopefully no more than a week or two ?
Nice! Wish I had that luck.

Thought the first comment was interesting

Had the same thing happen to mine, 24, premium, extended range. Called dealer. They connected to it to check the errors while I was driving and sounded confused by what they saw. I took it in on a Friday morning (right after the error popped up, went straight to the dealer). Their EV expert came in that afternoon and resolved it within an hour or two. Nothing needed replacing, it was a software issue. I was back in the car at the end of the day.

Mine just failed for the third time today. Can’t wait to see how long we won’t have the car for this time.

As so many others here, I am absolutely dumbfounded how ford can’t fix this issue? My car alone has had to have cost them a fair amount of money to fix all these times. Multiply that by how many and it’s got to ad up. So again why not fox the junction boxes?
What am I missing?

At that point I’d lemon law or buyback. I wonder what the process is like
I’ll know in a few days. But my options were
1. Buyback - minus usage
2. Keep and paid to keep (sounds tempting but how many times will it fail?)
3. Swap out for same model since I financed via ford.
Official documents will be sent soon.

Well ford in Lakeland is saying est 2/18
First two failures were relatively quick fixes.

I’d be weary of option 2 and 3, too. Failure seems inevitable sadly. Let us know which route you take.

Me too. I’m bummed. But seeing the ratio of failures to # sold this year, it makes me feel a little better.
Maybe too soon to feel better. Every newly 'improved' HVBJB part starts off with zero failures for a good long while. It takes time for substantial numbers of the new part to get into sold/repaired cars, and to accumulate enough miles to trigger failure.

It will probably be some time before we have any clear info as to how much the durability of the part improved in the second generation, third generation, and fourth generation HVBJBs. If ever. My first gen part failed after a year or two, but the second generation remanufactured replacement part is still going.
