Dear experts,
as I am annoyed that no OTAs get released for my car since many months, I tried to search myself whether I can find something strange. For this reason I looked deeper using FORScan Lite and extracted logs from the car about HW/SW as well as reported DTCs.
What surprised me to find: the BECM logged a wrong VIN. Would you say that this a matter of concern?
Thanks in advance for your precious guiding.
I think FORSCAN is wrong in the case of your BECM.

And I don't think you're as behind as you think you are. You can't judge how far behind you are based on how many OTAs you've gotten. If a tech does all your updates with FDRS, you may not get another OTA for quite some time after that. It depends on what Ford is sending and what your car already has.

Hi Mike, thanks for your analysis and your time!!
You are right, I should be less demanding but be more patient.
It's just that I am jealous to see that quite many German Mach-E currently receive 6.14, and some even managed to enable BC.

66% SOC on the 12V battery at 15.2 volts....Hmmmm maybe a BMS reset is in order or the battery is going bad.

Here's the list from FDRS:

@Mike G Thank you again for your support!! The dealership did find that the battery was no good and replaced it under the Ford warranty. They however wouldn’t do any of the updates manually. They said that the updates will begin coming over the air again now that the battery has been replaced.

Hello!

I've looked at the updates screen on our Mach-E but it shows none are pending. I have auto updates set to on and nightly.

We received a letter about the 23B50 update, but I can't seem to see if my vehicle has been auto updated or not for this recall. I've checked online at ford.ca but it tells me to go to the dealer, do I really need to?

This is my VIN, any way you can check if the 23B50 has been done or if there are other updates pending. I really can't stand taking any vehicle to a dealer unless it's necessary.

VIN: 3FMTK3SU4NMA48514

Thank you!
Mark ?

I wouldn’t sweat it. I updated all my modules with FDRS and still stuck on 6.2.0. It hasn’t even offered the newer stuff that way ??‍♂

would one of you kind participants look up my VIN and tell me where I am at with the OTA's.? Also, I just got my car back from the auto body shop and while it was being worked on, I was getting a lot of warnings. Spoke with the shop who are very reputable who said this is common.

When I took mine in for that it was supposedly done, but the recall notice was still there for maybe 6 to 8 months. I then had the mobile service come to my house for some updates and after that the notice was gone in a day or two. I really hate having to take mine in too, but now they have the mobile service and I’m a big fan of that.

FSA 23B50 is still open for your VIN.

The system says you have automatic updates turned on but you haven't set a schedule day or time (for inhibit updates) to be performed. I recommend doing this. Like everday of the week at say 6 in the evening.

FSA 23B50 has been out there for at least a year now...and the interesting thing is that it's an update to the powertrain modules. Now, the powertrain modules have been updated something like 5 times since that program was announced. So whenever you choose to go have this done you'll get the latest revision of the powertrain updates that are available at that time. 23B50 has a drop dead date of 31 Oct '25.

Here's the list of available updates for your VIN showing in FDRS right now:

Hi wonderful people! Now that my car is communicating, could someone please look at it? Vin: 3FMTK3SU2RMA29305

Along with general curiosity, anything pop up that might explain my current issue setting a target charge at home? (https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/unable-to-set-target-charge-at-home.42772/post-917838)

Thank you so much!
You don't have any DTCs that would indicate a problem with the charging system.

In most cases the inability to set a specific charge target has to do with the creation of the Home location and initial charging or a Fordpass/Sync issue.

I would first try deleting all charging schedules and then delete the Home location in Nav (or the other way around, it doesn't matter).

Then park in your ususal spot and save that as Home.

Then plug in and let the car charge for a few minutes and then unplug and create charging target schedules based on the Home location you just used.

Since my rates never change I just tell it to charge to 90% everytime it's plugged in at Home. It might be different for you if you have a LFP battery that needs to be charged to 100% every now and then.

You just received 10.1.1 for the TCU on 20 Jan '25.

Just got a SSN in my garage after hearing the contactors cycle multiple times when plugging in to my L2 charger.

Can someone look up the codes?

3FMTK3SU1PMA62891

FYI, I did pull the neg cable off the battery for 5 minutes before remembering I have a ODB dongle and Car Scanner.

I dumped the codes into a text file before attempting to clear them (does that work with the Mach-E?) I assume most of them are because I disconnected the 12v battery.

UPDATE: guess I just had to wait a little longer than my patience allowed. The error on the IPC cleared right after my ex arrived to take my daughter to dance class. ??‍♂
I drove it for a short 4 mile loop without issue. Plugged it in to charge when I got home and it charged normally.

I have TWO 2024 Premium AWD Long Range Mach-E's: One Eruption Green, one White
Hi All,

I’m new to macheforum and would like some help with an OTA update problem. My local dealer does not seem able to help me. I hope this is the right place to post.

My situation:

I bought 2 brand new 2024 MMEs in November 2024, a White one and a Green one. Since then, the White one has received 5 OTAs. The Green one appears to have NEVER received an OTA. When I check the Ford Software Update page, for the Green one it always says “It’s been more than 90 days since your vehicle was updated”. For the White, it shows the 5 updates. https://www.ford.com/support/software-update-release-notes-history/

I called Ford Support and spoke to a woman at the OTA division and she said both cars have multiple modules that need updating. She said call my dealer. I called my dealer and they looked into it, and contacted Ford Engineering, who said “There is no failure-to-update problem because no updates are currently scheduled for this vehicle.” They didn’t address the problem that there are *never* updates scheduled for this vehicle. The dealer says “keep an eye on it”.

Can someone find out what’s going on? If someone can give me a diagnosis, I can contact Ford or the dealer again armed with real information this time.

Thanks

White: <redacted> (receiving updates)
Green: <redacted> (never been updated as far as I know)

Also: on the website above,

The Green one shows this:
SYNC Generation SYNC 4
SYNC Version 4.0.24018

The White one shows this:
Updated 02/07/2025
SYNC Generation SYNC 4

(Weird that the car that IS updating doesn't show a version number!)
