I bet all of the things you "think" should be optioned on the car were in fact NOT on the window sticker.
I'd like to see the sticker, too. I'd be surprised if these were on the window sticker,

I highly disagree regarding the kick-to-open. It's worked 100% of the time on my 2021 Job 1, as long as my phone or fob are with me. In fact, when it stopped working after an FDRS update, my wife was super upset (so was I, really). Fortunately, a quick reset from Forscan fixed it. But yes, parking assist isn't particularly useful.
I can count the number of times the kick to open has worked on my job 1 2021 on both hands.

I'm really curious about the cause of non-deterministic behaviour of this feature. My wife and I even have different styles to open it; she does the "swipe" motion, while I just do the "kicking" motion - and they both work just as well. We do it just to the left of the license plate.

Left, middle, right, swipe, kick, threaten with a voodoo doll, all to little avail. It just prefers groceries go in the frunk I suppose. Or it’s trying to exercise my aging and ailing lower back. ;)

For the op (@Stony). A couple of things are common in cars:

Owner’s manuals that cover multiple vehicle years within a generation of the car. That’s why the park assist and kick to open are shown in the manuals.

Decontenting. This is an unfortunate fact. Features people might like get removed due to parts availability and relative unpopularity. The downside is that the car companies continue to use original parts until they’re gone. Hence the kick to open stickers, odd buttons, and the like.

Be thankful you didn’t buy a brand new 2025. They decontented the frunk . (Sarcasm combined with exaggeration. It’s a very shrunk frunk in 2025)

Some OEMs have a logo projected on the floor to give you an area to target and trigger the sensor. I think you and your wife have figured out how to intuitively do it. I have zero experience with this feature as I have never had a car that has it, including two Mach-Es. I know that Lexus at one point removed it from their product offering because it was unreliable and caused customer dissatisfaction ??‍♂

I don't know what else you would call it other than misrepresenting when the liftgate and parking assist are on the screen, labels and , yes, my wife downloaded and printed the entire user manual which tells you how to use both of them... You aren't a dick either... lol
@RickMachE , frunkmaster, @Stony here should be your favorite person on this forum. He reads the manual before even buying a vehicle ?.

Why are you disappointed? Did you do your due diligence and research the car prior to purchase?
Wait until you experience range issues!

I sure would like the foot lift gate to work. Can you give me the info on Forscan? Thank you.

Do a forum search, such as it is. I seem to recall that a couple of folks have installed an aftermarket kit for that. It at this point in my forum history, I may be mixing several different threads into one supposed memory,

I believe early MMEs had the customary four metal D-rings in back for securing cargo and elastic nets - now we've got two and they're made of plastic... I sure hope that particular Ford exec got a great bonus this year!

Owners manuals routinely include descriptions of features not on the car(s) they apply to. The order guide and window sticker tell you what you get.

I purchased a used 2023 MME with the extended battery. All user manuals and stickers show I have foot opening of the rear lift gate but doesn't along with parking assist which Ford shut off. Any other surprised that other owners have found?

Anything else on this car which is misrepresented??

We are disappointed with Ford.
If you remember the global pandemic and supply chain shortages of a few years ago along with the shortage of computer chips….. Rather than not deliver cars, Ford decided to remove some features.

But people buying the cars new were notified.

If you are mad about buying the car used for super cheap, imagine how you would have felt waiting 6-12 months for the car and paying full price with less features!

I don’t think any Ford execs got great bonuses this year. De-contenting kept them employed.

There is an after market hands free liftgate module that you can get from ev-vida: https://ev-vida.store/products/mustang-mach-e-handsfree-liftgate-module

I bought, one, but the install is pretty intense, and I recently had hand surgery, so it will be a while before I get around to installing it. The Mach-e Vlog folks filmed an ev-vida install:

When I ordered my '23, the parking assist and hands free liftgate were still officially listed as part of the options on the Premium on the Ford website, but 5.5 months later, when my car had arrived, I was disappointed that they weren't there. (But they're not important enough to me that I care all that much, especially after reading all the posts at the time mentioning that they weren't very good anyway...)
