Mike,
Are you able to check one last time. Picked it up today and I'm not 100% in it's all updated. The main screen should have changed a bit correct?

Vin:3FMTK3SU9MMA00294

Thanks ?

Same 5 as last time. I appreciate it. I'll see what the dealer says after I send back to them. Looks like they just did the bare minimum work to get it back to me.

Thanks for all the help. I may even end up having to take the blue pill and somehow do it myself. :(

Well the only good news is that for all of those...they are USB-based updates, and you don't need a powersupply to do them. You do still need the FDRS and Mongoose (or equiv) cable, but since those updates process with the vehicle running, no powersupply is needed to provide juice during programming.

Would you mind checking on my wife’s 2022 Premium AWD Ext Range 3FMTK3SU1NMA49006?

I’ve taken it to dealer twice—first time they said they would talk to a Ford engineer and get back to me the next week. Over a month passed without hearing back, and they claimed to know nothing about talking to Ford and that there are no updates showing and nothing out of date. It hasn’t received an update in at least a year or so—still has centered speedometer and never got BC 1.3.

Yet my ‘22 Premium RWD SR has been with the right-shifted speedometer, BC 1.3, and just got the 12V management update this week, so I cannot understand how there are no updates for hers.

Any advice appreciated, maybe I need to call BEV team?

Ummm...okay it's pretty strange that the P0AA1 code wasn't reported in PTS but is a DTC in FDRS.

Haven't seen that before.
Junction box was replaced. Still no power to the car. :( They found a “burn spot” on the wire harness that they think caused the issue. Timeframe for repair unknown. :(

Ahhh, the old "we'll talk to the engineer and get back to you" gag... that's a classic.

It's likely that you do not speak the same language that your service advisor/tech speaks. They are trained to say things in a specific way by the service advisor's playbook (it's an actual thing).

When they say there are no available updates for your vehicle.....that translates to "there are no available updates to your vehicle that Ford will pay us to apply to your car under warranty".

Here is the actual list of available updates to your wife's car that the service advisor says aren't available:

If you're interested in getting the BlueCruise updates so that you'd be at parity with your other car, that would likely involve updating the IPC, CMR, IPMA, PSCM in that order.

I would call the BEV team to open a case 800-392-3673.

Hi, could you check my 23 GTPE 3FMTK4SX4PMA77689? Received the Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power message and would like to see what is available for updates in case message does not self clear and I end up taking in for service.

Well, that at least aligns with the diagnostic code that I saw. I was a bit surprised that they were headed in the HVJB direction. But...they'll get there.

You've had an APIM OTA fail to apply three times now since January. So something's going on there, and it may need a tech's intervention to apply that update manually (under warranty they can do this and get paid for it using a specific labor code). That stalled APIM update has backed up other updates that should have subsequently applied (see the Additional Updates section).

I've DM'd you about the powertrain fault.

Here's the list of available software updates for your car, as I said you're behind...

Those larger tiles are better than the current small ones. They went away well over a year ago IIRC. There are a whole lot of other interface changes as well. Your car’s Sync is pretty down-rev. ??

Can I get an OTA & update check? I expected the GWM ota this week. Thanks!

You have the GWM update in FDRS. I don't have PTS access so can't tell you if that update is pending via OTA.

You have just a gateway update in FDRS.

OTA dashboard says you have had that same GWM update pending as an OTA (ECG-25.2.5.7.1) since the 26th with no status change, and it hasn't been cancelled or anything yet.

You're just not trying hard enough, that's the problem.
