Hello,
I just bought a used 2023 Mach E with 14k and my first time on the highway I had issues. I used the Bluecruise for like 5 seconds and it stopped working on me. Bluecruise, adaptive cruise control and lane assist weren’t working at all. I found this thread and thinking I need some stuff updated. I eventually plan on taking it back to the dealer but so busy at work right now. Any help or insights would be appreciated. Thank you

VIN. 3FMTK1RM6PMA41691
I think you've had several responses. If what I am going to add has already been said, I apologize for doubling up on the responses.

I have a 23.5 (manufactured after July 1, 2023) Mach E. During the free trial the BC and ACC and LA all worked. Tried it again during the late fall with a 30-day subscription. It did not work! The car gave me the various warnings about lane centering and driver facing camera on steering column not working etc. No idea why it quit working. Perhaps an OTA broke it, or not.

While the earlier cars get most of the discussion on BC not working etc, there is a known problem on certain 22-24 MY Mach Es. Ford issued service bulletin SSM533133 the morning of November 19, 2024. My car happened to be in the Ford shop to have the problem addressed when the bulletin hit. I had the fault indicated in the bulletin. If memory serves me correctly, there is also a more detailed TSB on this issue which preceded the service bulletin outlining a repair. The scheduled repair came to a screeching halt because of the service bulletin. I suspect what Ford was trying to do was fix the issue through software rather than replacing parts under warranty.

My car is current on updates available through FDRS as of early yesterday afternoon although it is still throwing two fault codes expressly associated with this issue. I am still waiting for the software fix for the issue in question. I suspect Ford doesn't have the software ready to push out and since tomorrow is the last day of Q1 2025, I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps your car is caught up in this problem too. My gut reaction is your dealer ought to check this out for you as a warranty issue.

See the following ... https://dot.report/bulletins/11010786

or,

"11/19/24, 7:56 AM 2023 Mustang Mach-E SSM 53133 2022-2024 Mustang Mach-E - Inoperative BlueCruise And Lane Centering With DTC U3000:49 Stored In The CMR Some 2022-2024 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit an inoperative BlueCruise and lane centering with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3000:49 stored in the camera module rear (CMR). This may be due to the software level of the CMR. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via a software update delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in 1Q of 2025. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle’s settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in 1Q of 2025. Monitor OASIS for additional information."

Hi folks,

Thanks in advance for checking for me. My VIN is 3FMTK4SX0PMA24441, and I do not seem to have had an update since 10.1.1: Enhanced Connectivity and Power Management. It seems there are others that should have been pushed out to me.

If I were to guess, I'd say the IPC should be your next OTA whenever it gets there. You can call the BEV team and ask them why you aren't getting anything, because I don't see any reason you shouldn't be getting OTAs...they just aren't sending them.

Sorry in advance for “double dipping.” After receiving the status in this forum previously I went to the dealer on Friday who said they did all available updates but I have doubts. Could someone check again for me? 3FMTK3SU8RMA36937
Thanks!

And they left you with a GVMS data block on your IPMA. They could have tried to clear that by selecting the "Read the Configuration Data"' tool in FDRS instead of just leaving it like that.

You just got a TCU update as an OTA, and have a BCM update pending in the queue right now. It is an "inhibit" update for the BCM (body controller). "24-PU0121-FTDI-FX".

I'd go out and check to see if it's ready to update....

Otherwise, here's the list of available updates showing in FDRS right now:

Sorry to be a pest, but can you tell me how to get to the "BEV team."

Hi, a few months back I received BC 1.3. I don't BC much and my car only has 5,800 miles after a year. Yesterday I took a short interstate trip and the ping pong on a curve was so bad to where it felt out of control and I might wreck if I didn't take over.

Can someone confirm I really did get the BC updates? and how my update history looks in general? vin is 3FMTK4SX6PMA24282

You haven't gotten an OTA in the last 60 days. That's as far back as I can see. You have the ability as an owner to see back as far as 90 days from what I remember (on the owner website).

If you got the OTA for BC 1.3 and that's what it said it was, then that's what you got.

You don't currently show any updates for the CMR, IPMA, and PSCM, so I would tend to think you did get it. That doesn't mean your car's imaging system is working perfectly all the time. You did have a DTC the other day for the IPMA that relates to the imaging system, but the symptoms don't match your recent BC experience, and the fix is to reprogram the IPMA...but you don't currently show an available IPMA update. So I'm not sure that helps. This could have been a one-off hiccup.

Here's the list of available software for your VIN today:

Thanks sir. So does it show my car pinged the cloud? I just see March 26. I drove car today. It usually says the reason why updates are not downloading I thought.

There is a health report for today, so yeah, it's talking to the cloud. Did you try the Software Updates button on the Sync menu to see if it would force it?

So I haven't received an update since my dealer cleared the list in January. And it doesn't even have the last ota update listed and no Update Now button. I tried a Sync reset yesterday and stayed the same. Any other ideas?
