If at a Tesla site with a v4 dispenser and the longer cables, do you still have to take up two spots?

You can park three different ways depending on the orientation of the V4 charger and all three use the parking space for that charger.

Charger perpendicular to the parking spot. Can only pull in straight.

Charger parallel to the parking spot. Can pull in straight or back in.

Looks like Mark missed several options:

Parking on the other side of the sidewalk behind the pumps, in a space.
Parking on the other side of the sidewalk, parallel to the sidewalk.
Rolling the car on its roof and charging.

Please send pics of option three!

No, but I hope you don't have the same issue I had on my last road trip in CA>OR. None of the V4 stations (3!) were allowing the Magic Dock to release! I have an adapter so it was a non-issue but for unsuspecting people I'm sure it was frustrating. I've used it before a few months back in SoCal so I know how to release it btw...

I have had the Ford supplied adapter for a very long time. I haven’t needed to use it until possibly tomorrow.

I can charge at the Buc-eees in Ft Valley Georgia at either the Mercedes branded ChargePoint station or the Tesla station that just opened 28 new stalls.

Pricing wise the Tesla station is a few cents cheaper. But my wife is against charging there if we have to take up two spots, the reason for the question.

I can't believe this was an actual question...I am slowly losing all hope for humanity...
Why? The fact you had to use two spots was discussed a lot when the adapter first arrived. But if you don’t haunt the forums enough (or have used one) it would be very easy to not know the v4s have longer cables so the double spot is no longer necessary.

Seems like a very fair question.

Right.

I thought it wasn't an unreasonable question.

I DCFC once or twice a year at most so I don’t pay much attention to the threads about using the adapter. In this case it has been 2+ years since I needed a DCFC session. All my recent trips have been within a single charge range and had L2 available for an overnight charge.

Other than driving to the closest Tesla supercharger open to other EV when I got my adapter, I have never used the adapter.

Maybe if you regularly DCFC than my question was humanity ending.
