sooo here is the craziest routing on my MME destined for LA. It left Muncie and traveled through Cheyenne Wyoming, and Now Ogden Utah.
Postcard from your car says Yellowstone & Jackson Hole are beautiful in winter. It has also heard nice things about the Pacific Northwest, thinking about swinging through there on the way to California. Charging has not been an issue.

May I remind you, they STOPPED SHIPMENT. Diverted cars to remote location to inspect, and held some cars. Apparently for up to 8 weeks. I know of AT LEAST One that is at 7 weeks and holding. SO EXCUSE ME, but I want a real answer with a person brave enough to identify their creds.
It's more cost effective for Ford to take care of the car before delivering it ... then to deliver it and have the dealer take care of any issues (at a marked-up rate). That did not surprise me.

If they let the cars go to the dealer and then have the dealer take care of things there is (a) a chance it wont get done correctly and (b) they would have to pay the dealer's rate for the repair (dealer's are in business to be profitable ... their rates will be marked up vs. what it would cost Ford to have their own employees do it. If it was an issue related to a supplier's part ... they may have had the supplier send in a team to take care of it.)

1. There's nothing remote about Kansas City Speedway. Nothing. It's big, it has lots of electricity, it was near the US drop off for Kansas City Southern Railroad and it was available. The end. Dude you can drive up to the speedway. It's not Groom Lake (Area 51).
2. It's not possible for the car to have been delayed 7 weeks. Cars didn't start leaving the plant until late in 2020. Very late.

Or did you mean you know of a car that has an ETA that is 7 weeks in the future? Cars have been arriving at their destinations far sooner than that. And if a car is still being held? Guess what, Ford is going to fix it before it gets on the road. Unlike the Big T.
3. " I want a real answer with a person brave enough to identify their creds." And I want Ford to FedEx my mach-e to me. Not going to happen either. Believe what you want about any of the Ford insiders here. They're all just providing the information they can. Your beliefs as to who they are or aren't won't get you your car any faster or any slower.

Take your complaints up with Jim Farley. He's on Twitter. Make your demands there. Or you can be thankful a car company didn't even consider sending one of their vehicles out with a possible malfunction, unlike the big Fremont manufacturer.

And if they thought it was a fire hazard do you really think they would be shipping and delivering cars?

Ok, I have listened to all of the noise and angst, now tell me why it is a secrete and customers are not worthy of an explanation.

"As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles, we are conducting additional quality checks on several hundred Mustang Mach-E models built before dealer shipments started last month. We want to ensure they meet the quality our customers expect and deserve," said Ford spokeswoman Emma Bergg.

I think our Mach-Es are on the same train. My dealer claimed the train is scheduled to arrive in LA on Thursday with potential same day delivery to the dealership (Sunrise Ford) depending on how early the train gets in, but that seems a little optimistic to me. Do you have any different info for arrival?

Because it results in the car version of a hypochondriac. This happens with other products ... product has issue, issue is corrected (really correct ... not just sort-of corrected) and you end up with consumers who swear there is a problem with their product (when there isn't.)

If Ford though they were hearing a rattling noise coming from some part of the car and wanted to make sure something was snugged down ... you'd end up with consumers who swear they hear a rattling noise.

It doesn't matter what the issue is... the car's being delivered wont have that issue. It's been handled. If for some reason a car still has a problem ... that's why they come with a warranty.

Looks like Tesla is best for you so it’s all good. No reason for this back and forth right. It’s not going to prove any one right or wrong nor does it matter. What matters is your choice and being happy with it. So Tesla it is and peace.

That "same day delivery" is a bit optimistic. My train arrived Monday morning ... but the car-carrier did not pick it up Monday. Tuesday morning (today), it updated to indicate it is turned over to the car-carrier for delivery to the dealer. BUT ... my dealer (specifically eh guy I'm working with) has been doing this for 20+ years ... told me the railroad does not unload the auto-car. The car-hauler employees are responsible for off-loading the train and loading the car onto the car-hauler.

That means the new status of being turned over to the car-hauler does *not* necessarily mean they loaded it onto the truck yet ... it could still be on the rail-car waiting to be unloaded from the train and loaded onto the car-hauler.

He *hopes* it will be delivered tomorrow ... but cautioned that the rail yard is a bit of a mess and it could be another day or two. Without making promises he said it might be delivered tomorrow... but he's pretty confident it will be delivered by Friday. (and then they have to prep it).
