I’ve seen some people on A Mach e forum on Facebook showing communications from their dealer reaching out advising they can schedule their appointment for the recall fix. Not sure why all dealers don’t seem to have the fix.Has anyone gotten an update on this yet? My car is still sitting at the dealer, waiting for the fix. They ended up giving me a loaner, but this is annoying. The sales manager told me that he heard the latest was the week of July 4, but no clue if that has any basis in reality.
If it’s on Fakebook, it has to be true!I’ve seen some people on A Mach e forum on Facebook showing communications from their dealer reaching out advising they can schedule their appointment for the recall fix. Not sure why all dealers don’t seem to have the fix.
It just came out like Friday afternoon. I mean people showing screenshots of text messages from their dealer reaching out to them to get it scheduled for it. You automatically think it’s fake because……..?If it’s on Fakebook, it has to be true!
Because it’s Facebook.I mean people showing screenshots of text messages from their dealer reaching out to them to get it scheduled for it. You automatically think it’s fake because……..?
I don’t automatically think anything. I am skeptical.I mean people showing screenshots of text messages from their dealer reaching out to them to get it scheduled for it. You automatically think it’s fake because……..?
1) Many dealers communicate "recalls" that aren't recalls, simple CSPs or similar, because they get REVENUE from service calls. Some promote mobile service because they get MORE REVENUE for those.I mean people showing screenshots of text messages from their dealer reaching out to them to get it scheduled for it. As announced this morning (in the full release of the recall notice in OASIS) the fix for '25 MY vehicles is available now.Any confirmation on this?
Software is available for '25 models at this point. So you should be G2G after they do the update. My car is due in next week and dealer just told me recall will not be a problem!
No....you should be fine....I had a deposit on a 2025 Glacier Grey GT. They patched it Saturday morning and I went in and finished the deal and have it at home
oh. And I absolutely love it. Finding all the errands I need to run. One at a time. LOL
even came out of a shop and someone was snapping a photo of it. Never had that happen before. I just stepped aside until she was done.
one question. with the patch done by dealer, should I (or they) reset the BCM or whatever it is called on an EV?
This is what I'm waiting for, and I suspect it will be well broadcast on here when it is available.4) When a fix exists, the people here with FDRS see it and post it. Until I see that, it is likely fake news.
