....., those who consistently behave like small children, or pets in your car this isn’t that big of an issue. For those who do have infants and pets in a car regularly it is a valid concern. A fix sooner rather than later hopefully.
Classic!

I had a deposit on a 2025 Glacier Grey GT. They patched it Saturday morning and I went in and finished the deal and have it at home

oh. And I absolutely love it. Finding all the errands I need to run. One at a time. LOL

even came out of a shop and someone was snapping a photo of it. Never had that happen before. I just stepped aside until she was done.

one question. with the patch done by dealer, should I (or they) reset the BCM or whatever it is called on an EV?
Three years later, I still do one errand at a time

1) Many dealers communicate "recalls" that aren't recalls, simple CSPs or similar, because they get REVENUE from service calls. Some promote mobile service because they get MORE REVENUE for those.

2) Many Facebook users have no idea what they are talking about.

3) Service departments are usually way behind on knowing when something exists.

4) When a fix exists, the people here with FDRS see it and post it. Until I see that, it is likely fake news.
How can I determine that this is fake news?

In general, by Googling the "recall" they state. In this case, as has been posted in this thread already, late last week the 2025 fix was available. Only 2025 model year.

I understand but my question was surrounding this post where the driver states they have a 24 and mobile service came out to repair that specific recall 25S65. So either this person is flat out lying and personally created the repair notice that came from the dealer on their 24 or is it possible that the repair actually exists for other model years outside of 25 and the most knowledgeable minds on this forum aren’t aware of it yet?

Or that the dealership is incompetent.

Interesting. I’m trying to be as open minded as possible as I casually research and gather up to date info to what is available as an actual fix as well as other Mach e quirks or issues but sometimes the arrogance and cockiness that exists on this forum and the mindset of “if we haven’t heard of it then everyone else is wrong, the dealer is incompetent and others don’t know what they’re talking about.” Is beyond strange. People here acting like they are the ford engineers responsible for this fix when this forum is simply filled with Mach E drivers like a facebook Mach e groups is as well.

I have a 24 and my dealership called to schedule the update. They are coming to my house to do it.

In actuality, a number of forum members are engineers, have full access to Ford's systems, and know a great deal more than Ford techs. I'm not one of those gifted people, but when they go into the systems and it says the fix is for 2025s only, you can bank on that.

Maybe a 2024 got updated on a specific module(s) recently, which put it at the same level update as a 2025, which made the 2025's fix applicable for that vehicle. I know that my vehicles are more updated than probably 90% of Mach-E owners, because my dealership was very generous during my warranty periods (now ended) for applying every update that existed in the system.

As to see the screen in their system, when they arrive, that shows the update is there for your 2024.

Careful who you say that to in this forum. They’ll think you’re either lying or the dealer is incompetent lol if this forum didn’t hear about something first then everyone else is full of BS apparently.

well I’m glad you’re willing to open your mind and accept that maybe a 24 is physically able to be updated now that more and more people and examples of non 25s are advising of updates.

My dealer called me, read the recall, scheduled to come out on Monday with the mobile team to apply the update.

I guess we can choose to believe that is fake news or not. But the dealer at least wants to send someone out for my 23 and it’s not like I am paying them.

My 2024’s VIN is still showing that the recall service is not available. If there are other 2024s and some 2023s showing that the recall remedy is available, it looks like this is a VIN-specific rollout rather than a model year rollout. ?‍♂?

I'm curious to know what Ford Pass says for those that were able to get Ford Mobile service scheduled (Ford Pass, Service, Active Recalls).

Also, if Ford didn't come down hard on those that did FDRS checks we wouldn't need to guess what's going on. It would have been post your vin and compare.
