Well, I did get a wave today. A guy and a gal (gal obvious to the world on her phone) J walked in front of me, and he waved to apologize/thank me for not running them over. And then the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I have got several waves from jerks cutting me off and then doing the "It OK, because I waved" thing.

Does that count?

...the next time I wave in comradery and you don't wave back, I'm going to hunt you down, take your car and leave you with a remote control Cybertruck.

You have been warned!
Try flashing your headlights. Kinda hard to see a wave at (you should excuse the expression) Mach speeds😁

On my commute home yesterday I saw a Mach-E the same color as mine so I got behind it and followed in camaraderie for a couple miles til I had to turn. 😆. They didn’t wave. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When my Trans Am was new, I would wave. That stopped fast since there were so many of them around. In my model year, they produced over 129,000 Trans Ams (there were 4 Firebird sub-models: Firebird, Esprit, Formula, Trans Am), so by 1980 you literally saw one (or more) at every intersection. 😯🐩
Back then it was particularly crowded where I lived with a dozen military bases. E-1s in Trans Ams and IROC Zs everywhere. I was the odd bird with an Impala SS covertible older than I was 😆

Not a lot of Mach-Es where I am now. I saw a green/bronze one a few days ago in a parking lot and gave them a compliment.

Because of our distinct headlights, I can spot an oncoming MME and will flash my lights to say Hello. Never get a return flash but I hope it's just because our cars pass by so quickly.

Frankly, I don’t think most people even understand what flashing lights means. Just like flashing high beams. At least around here. And a good portion of them don’t even know what their high beams are, based on the fact that a lot of them keep their highbeams on even in city of driving.

Er, excuse you, I waved, you just probably didn't see my wave due to my tint... :cwl:

When I first moved to Georgia (am from the UK), people told me flashing of the headlights meant that Police were staked out in the direction I was going. Thus, slow down...

A couple weeks back I was so excited to park next to another MachE. Got out of the car and said Hi. The driver said "Hey, do I know you?" awkward pause then "Oh, we have the same car..." And they turned and walked away. Oh my. I guess all these years later I still suffer from being a Job 1/early adopter and get a bit too excited 😆.

I used to wave at other Mach-E's, but I never got any waves back, so I just quit. Well, to be honest, some of them could have waved back, but most people have tinted windows so I can't see them even if they did wave back.

I’ve never had another mache owner wave to me, however, I find it when I drive my lightning, and I am in a parking lot with another lightning owner, there is always that bilateral nod of approval

You were told correctly. I would make the same assumption (that something ahead needed my attention) and would never have connected it with a hello, even if I noticed it was a Mach-E...
