All speculation at this point, but I can imagine that our builds this week are getting special QC attention due to being a new model year with some changes (and we don't know about any "under the hood" changes beyond software to unlock a bit of traction battery capacity).

I would like to think this is true!

The timing of the "in production" statuses indicates some production is scheduled this week. I note the status of "in production" doesn't mean they are wrenching on the line, but more likely opening up data records that are part of the lifecycle of eventual production. The appearance of window stickers will be more revealing of actual production.

Hey guys,

I'm a member of this group as well. I just connected with my dealer, who said it's scheduled to be built on Thursday (1/6). Fingers crossed it moves forward!
My dealer also confirmed builds that are scheduled for this week will begin on Thursday the 6th, with status update the following day.

Excited to find and join this group.
Ordered a Rapid Red GTPE ON 8/16. Initially received a production week of 12/13, then 12/20, then 1/3. It has held on this week. Website shows my car is 'In Production'. Called my dealer a few weeks ago. He checked and said I had a Production Date of 1/5 with a priority of 1. I think priority 1 means you have an assigned date. The window sticker still does not show up. That would make me feel like the build is actually going to happen. Would love to get the car sometime in Februrary.

Does anyone know how many days it typically takes to get built?
I also went to the trackers section above and entered my VIN in the following link:
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
It brings up a file to download with an .ab extension. I can download the file, but I cannot find anything to open it. Has anyone had any success getting to this information for their car?

Thanks

You can download the file and open it with a text editor (like Notepad), then turn on word wrap in your text editor. Your file probably reads like mine, with numerous references to Data Not Found. No wrenching yet guys.

Yes -- hi, one of the peeps waiting for his 2021 MME to finish being built.

Speaking of built, that AsBuilt page will show, in the page, a very long list of modules once those are in place. The .xml file you can download is used by Ford somehow in the process (note it tells you to download it into a specific Windows directory). You don't need to look at it, but if you do, rename it to use the .xml extension then open it with your browser, which should format it.

Here's a snippet of what my version of that page looks like:

Good luck, hope your builds go smoother than ours!

Just curious....I ordered on 6/10 but when I look on the Ford production status is says 9/27, but front page says 6/10. Since they ran out of my preferred color, Silver, and with the delivery schedule bumped to 2022 I'm guessing that is the reason. Hopefully my dealer didn't delay giving me priority since most of you seem to have later order dates.

I believe that's the (internal) date that the '21s were converted to '22s.

Thanks....don't see many MME's here in the Vancouver/Portland area, thought we might have just low priority.

Yes, I've ordered on 9/23. Then changed the order to AWD on 1/10. It seems to me they prioritize the orders from CA
I live in California and ordered mine 6/4/2021, then changed from Cal Route 1 to Premium in July. Scheduled production is this week. If my order is "prioritized" I'd hate to see how much longer I'd have to wait if it were not so.

Prioritization is (I believe) based on allocations to regions, then to dealers. I've read somewhere that more vehicles are allocated to EV states BUT the demand is also higher in those states so the impact to the individual customer is much less than that of the crap shoot of blindly selecting a dealer with a high ratio of allocation to demand. (I may have chosen poorly.)

Not the rain on the parade but the most recent couple of pages in the 12/6 thread suggests there are still unfinished 21s plus a chip hold... so... not sure how this will impact this week's supposed start of the '22 production but it does seem like there could be some (more) delays.
