Thank you for the explanation on trim levels. My salesperson told me that it made business sense to move the cars to another location rather than stoping the building of them. Then when the chips are received they can put them in for shipping. I have read before that trim levels make a difference but someone got a GT a few days ago after ordering in July of 21. Still all a mystery to me. Just hoping the chips get here before long. ?I think that also has to do with the trim level you order. Select and CA Rt1 are generally built faster. I assume they need fewer chips. That's probably why the original estimated delivery time is 8 weeks sooner for these trims compared to Premium and GT. It also makes sense from the operational point of view. A $1 chip can stall completion of a $60K car. They can ship more Selects and CA Rt1s with fewer chips which brings in more sales and profit.
