Well...
The PUC just voted and approved the new Net metering 3.0 basically reducing the buy back cost of energy to whole amt. around 5 cents while they charge you 30-50 cents.
There will be incentives and cost reduction if you add backup batteries and feed energy back to the grid during night time. Batteries are expensive and adds more cost to the overall solar build and one can argue that if you are going on batteries why not just cut PGE off and go completely off the grid...
Anyway this will set back solar for a while which is the antithesis (opposite) of the green energy goal CA is trying to achieve.

News from the back of the 9259 pack, finally received shipped status email from Ford on 12/12 and today FC shows rail car KCS 008306, current location is Ramp 5J, Lecheria Cuap, EM. Delivery estimate is from January 4th to January 10th, 2023.
Dealer called me today to let me know my car passed through Laredo, TX yesterday. So my car is in the US and headed to KC for transfer to the Bay Area. I didn't get rail car details, but I'm just happy about the shipping progress. Delivery estimate still 1/4 to 1/10. And I'm still wishing for a miracle delivery on 12/31.

Yes, but there’s still ample time to get in under 2.0 and then you’ll have 20 years of protected rates to recoup your investment plus some.

Picked up from dealer yesterday. Nice drive home. Charging issues overnight but all seems resolved this morning. Delivered 3+ weeks ahead of FC ETA.
Congrats on your MME. That is great to got it 3 week ahead of FC ETA, that just goes to show that even though the ETA might have been pushed out for some, don't loose hope on a possible 2022 delivery.

Contacted FC and my MME has now been assigned a BNSF railcar# at Argentine, KS. This will take the car on its final rail journey to Pearland, TX where it then be delivered to the dealership.

Anyone figured a good way to track BNSF railcar#? I know many have reported issues with the tracking.

I had Tesla solar + Powerwall installed earlier this year. I think it took 2 months from order to install, then another 3 months for Tesla to submit paperwork to PG&E to enable net metering. I recently moved to a rural area, so perhaps it's faster in a larger city.

All you need essentially is an approved PTO application and a signed construction contract before April. Then you have three years to get permits, complete construction and receive final permission to connect to the grid. I predict a rush on solar business in the next few months.

Got an email from my dealer in Morgan Hill, CA that my car is passing through Fresno on the way to Richmond, where it will sit there for a couple of days then will be shipped to Morgan Hill. Looks good that I should get it before the New Year.

Batch 9217
Premium extended range (Orange!)
Built 11/11
Original delivery date 12/6-12, updated to 12/17-23

FYI: I am a bit anxious as my brother in Texas order a 2021, got the vin number and everything, car was delivered to the dealer, but the dealer sold the car before informing my brother that the car was in. He took delivery of a 2022 in June of this year, but really wanted the initial year.

My last known location is Argentine, KS on a BNSF train without being able to track since 12/6.

I'm hoping it's actually moving but I can't tell.
