You don't need FJDS. I have an IDS/FDRS license. If I need to update older cars I use UCDS. I haven't actually even used IDS but I got it just in case because I do have older Ford vehicles that require it over FDRS. Most stuff can be done with UCDS/FORScan though. IDS SUCKS.

My PCM update disappeared all on its own the other day. That had been in there for months. Now I just have IPC and TCU but neither work....though the IPC will run now it doesn't actually update though like the bugged updates. I don't understand why this stuff sucks so bad Ford.

okay, so good news is (after deleting both FJDS and FRDS with clearing all data options, and reinstalling both, and acknowledging Sam's note above, what I read or heard elsewhere about something from FJDS being needed, probably bogus) ABS and IPC both installed with the normal sequence of events from reading vehicle data to writing the new module code, and all dtc's cleared to green. This morning, Jan 1, 2022, maybe less than ten minutes for all.

minor issue, now both ABS and IPC still show in my SW Update list (I guess this known FDRS bug is back).

The previous two APIM "updates" including that one with the special USB cable, no longer appear in my SW Update list - more good news.

Well, my Job 1 car now has had all SW Updates available clear as of today, but for ABS. So the APIM, IPC and I think GSM or GWM was also on there. Hopefully when I get my car back to the dealer, this ABS update actually installs and clears when completed.

Maybe Job 2 cars finally have new updates as well that fix BlueCruise?

Still no ABS for me. Althought the IPC and TCU vanished magically

ABS is a bug that it keeps showing up. It is fully cleared. My old 2020 and new 2022 truck both have the same 5 modules that show they need an update but will never update.

PCM vanished for me then came back... IPC and TCU are still there.

Well, at least is seems they're back at it, hopefully something is out soon.
I don't think they're doing anything honestly I think it's just being buggy like it normally is... Fingers crossed though I really want my lane centering and blue cruise back...

Wow, bummer. It seems like they're at least starting to get back at it. I took my car in today so a Field Service Engineer can take more data to fix my traction control and IPC bugging out, that was requested by the engineers yesterday. Hopefully this means they'll fix all this craziness!

Can someone check what updates are outstanding on VIN WF0TR1R7XXXXXXXXX

It’s been at the dealers here in the UK since 29th Dec for 21P22. The update for one module failed and it’s blocking everything else and the car is not driveable. They have no idea how to fix it either.

It looks like they are having issues with the driver side window and "groaning" from the brakes. I don't see any updates that they appear to have issue with. Unless it's the ABS update, which I believed is bugged in Job1 vehicles and even though it's applied shows in the available updates still.

thanks -so those are the updates still outstanding, I can check that back to 21P22 and infer which updates they have diners

Where are you seeing an issue with the drivers window? Module I assume you mean.

Yes those are outstanding. And on the 29th they recorded "PTS : Workshop Manual : ,Diagnostic Pinpoint Tests : A: A SINGLE POWER WINDOW IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY- DRIVER FRONT (Glass, Frames and Mechanisms)"

I would suggest that if you have any other questions that you DM me or someone else who can help with the diagnostics so that we don't hijack a thread with your vehicle specifically. I would also recommend removing your VIN from public so that you don't have trolls attempting to add your VIN to FordPass.

Ah - those pinpoint tests related to a separate issue where the window kept opening on one-touch close because it detected an obstruction. A calibration resolved that.

Noted and done - thank you for your help.

So thanks to @benk016 I was able to get the old ABS calibration file. Unfortunately it did not fix my issue. Ford has updated as built for the ME calibration and it does not work with the KE. I did some trial and error to get the KE to work but it still doesn't have BC and LC. SO I'm thinking there may have been some other as built changed that caused issues. I'm going to try some things but I've mostly lost hope here...

Sam, I noticed that when my Paak completely disappeared, what appeared to bring it back was running RFA initialization, not configuration as I originally thought. I think I remember the three separate routines for some or all modules, regular update, configuration, and initialization. Is Initialization used mostly after a physical module replacement? Also, how much is FDRS reading our configuration (or similar) before operations, vs. looking up what our configuration should be based on our VIN?
