Finally they fix a long standing bug and it is one we liked.

I just checked my Ford.com "My Account", and I still see the 12v charge level. HVB is charged to 73% at the moment,

It was there 3 hours ago when I checked, and now it's gone. In fact, it doesn't even show the estimated range anymore. I wonder if maybe they're doing server maintenance.
Looks like it is back this morning. So must've been doing some kind of maintenance. I can now see both 12v battery % and HVB range remaining again.

Even web sites require tire, battery, and oil maintenance from time to time.
Except that’s not how you’re supposed to do it. You update a maintenance site and, when sure, you swap it for the production site.

I'm pretty sure macchiaz-o was joking.

But joking aside, another way to do it is to have multiple web servers behind a load balancer and update only a portion of them at a time so there is no interruption of the service.

I would imagine a company the size of Ford has the IT staff to be able to handle something like that.

Even in my small IT dept, we have enough redundancy to not have maintenance affect any of our customer facing systems.

Yeah, it was levity.

I'm not trying to excuse any service disruptions for Ford but I don't think it's fair for us to assume that they just needed a swap over site or a load balancer or whatever else, either. We don't know enough details behind why the vehicle info was temporarily missing. It could have been due to a myriad possible causes.

Also, it wasn't just battery life that was missing yesterday afternoon. I couldn't see any specific stats for my vehicle at all until I noticed it was back again this morning.

Ooo I like this handy link they added. Not that it moves it any closer than June.

Clearly I do not know what I am doing. From the Ford website, I only see the charge level (as per the image below).

To confirm, when one talks about the 12v battery, is that not the small battery at the front of the car? I was under the impression that the data for that, could only be seen if one used the FDRS software/tool, no?
