If I had the time to do a road trip to CA, I’d be there in a flash ? my personal experience in updating firmware (and that’s what we are talking about, at the end of the day) is pretty hit and miss, and the last thing I need is a $60,000 brick blocking my garage ? I’d love to see it done though and see what info is available. So if you're willing to pay, then either
Even if you did get the OTA's that I and other's could flash for you, what are you expecting from it? Tic-Tac-Toe or notepad? There's nothing in these OTA's that does anything significant to the car. The biggest update is the customer satisfaction update with the charging curve fix and it's an in person update. And if you want to compare to Tesla, well they have been waiting since 2016 for FSD and some paid 10k for it and still don't have it.
- Buy the equipment yourself and do it
- Pay someone with the equipment to do it.
- Find someone like myself who has updated vehicles for others at no charge
I get that Ford needs to improve the OTA experience and no doubt they are working on getting their sh*t together. I just get confused by the rage from people over tic-tac-toe...
