We should see some more battery usable capacity for 2023 i believe, maybe up to 93KWh for the extended Range?
I agree. Why not increase the possible use of the battery. Ford could still just provide warranty of xx% of the 88kwh and not the 99kwh. That would be nice.

That’s not how it works. If people were consistently using the top end of that buffer all the time, it would greatly decrease expected life to well below the additional expanded capacity.

It would be nice if that giant infotainment-control-center-tablet gizmo were on some sort of gimbal, so it could be pointed toward the eyes of the driver instead of the eyes of the dog in the middle of the back seat.*

Gimbal with a friction lock though so it won't tilt away from you like the charge-card screen at Lowe's when you try to use the touch screen.

*Absolutely no offense intended, @HuntingPudel!

Jim Farley and other Ford execs have said that they're iterating faster on the Mach-E line than any other car before it.

I expect that we'll see incremental changes this year and maybe 2023 if they don't do a midcycle refresh for next year. No later than 2024 they gotta do a refresh if not go full battery/drivetrain redesign. That's because by 2025-26 the 400v technology we have will be ancient and they'll need to move on to the next gen tech.

Ford will be lucky to pump out '23s at all with the way the world is going!

In all seriousness, it would be nice to get a really large software update for our vehicles, or a number of large ones with bug fixes and new features. I don't think that's asking too much of a company Ford's size...look at the update Rivian sent recently!

I don’t think it’s ever getting a shaker. Nothing to use that air and nothing to shake it. LOL. ??

I expect the next redesign (24/25?) to be 800v... like everybody else. https://insideevs.com/news/580829/ev-industry-shifting-to-800-volt-2025/

Only a few thousand vehicles and Rivian's already making meaningful changes both to the BMS and to infotainment via OTA. I don't understand why Ford is having such a hard time with software compared to the company they own a meaningful percentage of.

It's a big company. I'm sure everything down the update notes ("small changes here and there!") has to go through an engineering, legal, and marketing review before an OTA is released.

Smaller/newer companies can be a lot more nimble with OTAs, though there's also a greater chance they screw something up, like mistake a full moon for a traffic light.

I’m going to call this another vote for Groovy Green and Grabber Lime

My dad had a 71 Mach1 in Grabber Lime. My wife likes the color and almost convinced me to get a 2020 Mustang in Grabber Lime (yes, they brought it back). I would by a Mach E in it.

If it had been available, there would have been no other acceptable color for me.

Many good wishes, so I'll only add what I didn't see...

End user and mechanic design improvements, such as remove some of the plastic in the frunk above the 12v battery, or at least make it easier to access with a smaller lid.
