Given the current structure of the federal EV tax credit. I really doubt any U.S. manufacturer will build EVs destined for the U.S. market outside of North America.Latest word is that this will be sold in the US starting late 2024 as a 2025 model. Will probably be heavily delayed (lol) unless GM builds in China and imports here.
Wouldn't mind one. I like its traditional SUV stance and gorgeous interior, but Ultium has a poor charging speed.
If Ford is importing the Nautilus from China, I don't see why GM can't import the Electra? Granted the Nautilus is an ICE vehicle but at least it would help GM build EV market share even if the Electra wouldn't qualify for federal tax credits.Given the current structure of the federal EV tax credit. I think it looks bad, but maybe it’s just the color.
It’s better than previous Buicks, but I still don’t like the interior. Why all the goofy curves? Especially the screen on the right side.If Ford is importing the Nautilus from China, I don't see why GM can't import the Electra? If they don't import from China, there is no way GM can sell this vehicle before 2025. They are so backed up with current Ultium orders. PLUS, they have the 2nd gen Bolt EV, new Cadillac Escalade EV, and others in the pipeline.
