I'm confused (+ I had a few shots of tequila. . . so that ain't helping)
Is the thesis that
1. Pre-24 May 2022 cars no longer have 22541 update available to be performed?

2. At least one car that had 22541 installed (not sure if this was OTA or via dealer) has since had 22541 un-installed by a dealer?

3. Anyone going to a dealer might have 22541 un-installed (no matter if 22541 was installed via dealer/OTA/or self installed?

4. Possible an OTA update might un-install 22541?

Should I keep my appointment for July 13th if the recall software doesn’t show up now in the FDRS report that was run?

If it doesn’t reappear in the next couple of days, I’d cancel. There won’t be anything the dealer can do if the updates aren’t in FDRS.

OK, thank you. Problem is I’m on vacation and will be in the car all day Monday and Tuesday until I get back to Illinois late Tuesday night the 12th. My appointment is the 13th at 7 am so I just may cancel it today.

Yeah, you should probably just cancel it then for now.

Boy this is making my trip tomorrow sound more and more entertaining. Place your bets! 2021 Ext AWD going for 775 miles in 110 degree heat at 80mph limits with 13-14degree grades… I’ll be back with a “made it” or “one of us” post tomorrow night I’m sure. I *DID* install the recall myself via FDRS while it was offered along with my May updates etc.
I just came back from 2000mi+ road trip through all kinds of varying grades and temps (cal route 1) - didn't get the chance to apply the safety update prior to the trip (will drop a post on the trip)

The car worked flawlessly with not a single issue. Did multiple fast charges on different networks. The only thing that I avoided was open pedal events (must admit that it sucked not being able to try it on some roads - damn it Ford!)

Best of luck with your trip!

Interesting - FDRS doesn't seem to be allowing VINs to be run this morning (or at least not mine.) I've now tried several times. Hopefully just a temporary server glitch.

Maybe I should not even suggest it, but I wonder if Ford is now planning on replacing parts as well as a software update and that it why they pulled the current version of the recall???
What is this, hope? Shame. ?

Maybe they are just modifying 22S41 to put a more applicable/issue-specific message on screen and making it so the applicable error codes can't be cleared by dealers without changing out the part.

My dealer pulled the update yesterday afternoon on my GT, and applied it, supposedly.. but I don't trust them so who knows. Prior to that they did about 5 updates a few weeks ago, but left a bunch of updates undone because they said they were not part of any service bulletin or recall. Not sure the point of all these misc updates if they don't apply them when in for service or as an OTA. Never had any OTA on my GT.

Basically got the update so I wouldn't have to be stranded and towed. That said, I get the feeling the update makes it more likley to get the fault sooner. We'll see what happens.
